Sorry for the vanity, but I don't know whether to go, and do know anyone who's seen it and can advise me.

Agreed!
Saw it yesterday in a smaller theater with a capacity crowd.
Highly recommend it!
My wife and I saw it last week. Very well done and thought-provoking. It’s about more than just the abominable evil of abortion.
It also displays the media’s complicity by not covering the story. Similarly, many prominent individuals in the community were not willing to take a stand.
When good men and women stay silent and do nothing it creates the perfect environment for evil to flourish. There is a lot of blame to go around.
I highy recommend it.
Seriously? And I bet you listen to NPR and not as opposition research! You say “ This is not entertainment. “ and yet YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE!!! Don’t you just hate when fake pundits put their Two Cents in only to discover that it’s counterfeit!
GO! By all means GO. This is a truly informative and timely film about an atrocity carried out under the auspices of “Legal” activities. I went and the theater was packed and not a dry eye by the end and the blood pressure meter at the Rite Aide next door exploded!
I have not seen it but I intend to. It WAS recommended by Molly Hemingway, Senior Editor of the Federalist, and regular FOX contributor as well as Brit Hume.
Apparently, it’s a good movie, as a movie. Forget the politics of it.
Always someone that has to jump in a ruin a thread with ignorant insulting BS. You are the BS winner for this thread. Enjoy.
If you have no interest in the movie then why are you trolling this thread?
Seems to me that maybe you have a lot of interest in seeing to it that people dont see it.
I was not trolling the thread. This was a discussion of why go or not, etc. Read the thread!!!
Since you have NO interest in seeing the movie, your opinion is not worth wasting bandwidth on the subject.
Be gone Troll.
It was the best movie I have seen in years. It is not gory. It is rated PG13. It is about the trial of Gosnell. There are some disturbing scenes but if you cant handle the scenes in that movie, you probably shouldnt visit the pro-life threads here.
Im an attorney and this was one of the best trial movies I have ever seen.
I read where the Judge sued the movie makers right before the release of the movie. He said he was portrayed wrongly. The movie people said they settled it with him, and can’t discuss it. I suppose they made some edits to his scenes.
I thought the movie did a very good job at being a police/court room drama. Just like in real life the prosecutors didn’t want to turn it into a “pro-life” thing, I think the movie did a good job with that too.
I mean, obviously it is - but the person who really turns it into an anti-abortion trial/movie .... is the defense attorney!
The one comment by the defense attorney who was cross examining the female abortion doctor was spot on. Only those who have seen the movie will know what I mean.
Objection... sustained.
Thanks for posting all the information
I plan to see it when I can...

Last night I finally got to see it. Spontaneously, I traveled to an out of town theater to see it. On a work night too! So glad I did.
It was a splurge well worth it. As someone said on one of these Gosnellmovie threads, it SHOULD be required viewing in schools. As a mandatory case study for all media, medical, law, health, administrative, sociology, and anthropology studies at the VERY LEAST.
