Hello Freepers....!
....LOTS of threads about the mass of illegal immigrants headed our way...as of this morning the numbers are estimated at between 5,000 to 10,000 men women and children. We can assume that this number will grow.
Now, we can also assume that Mexico is not going to be of much help here...and will leave this event for the United States to 'clean up'.
So, they are coming....they will soon be at the boarder...and they will not just 'stop' voluntarily....
What CAN be done to keep this from becoming a nightmare scenario??
Please be civil...and make your thoughts known.
Please no (shoot them all)....(burn them all)...regardless of how you 'feel' try and come up with a WORKABLE solution.
Do not be intellectually lazy... like saying (.....dude...I would put the military at the boarder and just stop them....)
...ok, how? Shoot them....? Yell at them to stop?....Arrest 10,0000 people? ....and put them where? For how long?
Perhaps we can brainstorm together and offer some real solutions .....
Lets make this a thread that offers real possible answers

Trump should send the US military to assist Mexico in stopping this invasion inside Mexico. Do NOT let them anywhere near the US border. Station the Coast Guard, Marines and Navy along the coast. Allow armed state guards to guard their borders.
Cut off ALL aid to Central America and Mexico.
Stop Western Union type money transfers. Stop all US banks from doing the same. Have the postal services scan all packages shipped south and confiscate any money. Arrest anyone trying to send money.
Arrest and not allow bail for employers of illegals. Start with large companies like Tyson chicken and Smithville hams to send a message to the little businesses. Fining the big guys will never stop them. They have to spend years behind bars and lose their companies for it to sink in.
Stop ALL government freebies to ALL immigrants legal or illegal.
Stop all immigration from all countries until every last wetback and visa over-stayer has been deported.

Sending the United States military into a foreign country to interact with a 10,000 and growing in number illegals is simply a nonstarter… Won’t happen.
The diplomatic pressure should be instated definitely… but, it will not stop these people from reaching our border.
I do feel that the monetary pressure put it on Mexico and other Central American nations can be an effective block… But I do not think it’s going to stop these 10,000 people from hitting our border… so, what about them?

Someone is feeding them.
Someone is providing clothing and shoes. Notice when they’re bedded down and have taken off their shoes their feet are clean and have no walking blisters. None of the pics I’ve seen have even one bandaid on their feet.
Someone is providing cash payments.
Someone is providing sleeping quarters.
Someone is providing diapers. If they weren’t, parents would have their nice clean shirts covered with poo that has dripped to their pants. Babies’ backsides would be bleeding and infected and in need of medical attention.
That someone is the DNC. Trump has promised to fix the border and this is their plan to take him down.
Basically it shoots a highly accurate microwave beam, suddenly heating up the skin. You can make it narrow, or very broad.

How about DJT announcing a national program whereby bleeding-heart liberals could volunteer to "host" these invaders? They would have to take them into their homes for a min. of six months, and feed and clothe them during that time. They would be financially responsible for them, and would have to assist in integrating them into our society.

The whole thing is astroturf. This is meant to be background noise for the election.

Depends on where the invasion force is heading. We have Fort Bliss and the 1st Armored Division (that’s 3 Brigade Combat Teams, 1 DIVARTY, 1 Combat Aviation Brigade, plus supporting Brigades) at Fort Bliss in El Paso. 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood would take longer to get anywhere since they’re more centrally located.
The forces aren’t the problem. It’s the authorized rules of engagement. It’s almost certain that lethal force wouldn’t be authorized, so that means non-lethal—CS gas, bean bag rounds, rubber bullets, paintball guns, etc. Maybe some of those cool microwave deals that make it feel like you’re burning up as soon as the beam touches you?

Walking (cough, cough), they can time their entry into the US on election day.
Could we make arrangements with Mexico to allow our troops to enter their country (say 10 miles in) and create a human wall? From there, any legitimate claims of asylum could be processed and allowed in, and the rest can be turned away without having to be processed by our courts. We don’t have to separate the kids from parents and we don’t have to house them. This agreement with Mexico will be a short-term agreement.
Apples and oranges. Has nothing to do with this situation.
