Hello Freepers....!
....LOTS of threads about the mass of illegal immigrants headed our way...as of this morning the numbers are estimated at between 5,000 to 10,000 men women and children. We can assume that this number will grow.
Now, we can also assume that Mexico is not going to be of much help here...and will leave this event for the United States to 'clean up'.
So, they are coming....they will soon be at the boarder...and they will not just 'stop' voluntarily....
What CAN be done to keep this from becoming a nightmare scenario??
Please be civil...and make your thoughts known.
Please no (shoot them all)....(burn them all)...regardless of how you 'feel' try and come up with a WORKABLE solution.
Do not be intellectually lazy... like saying (.....dude...I would put the military at the boarder and just stop them....)
...ok, how? Shoot them....? Yell at them to stop?....Arrest 10,0000 people? ....and put them where? For how long?
Perhaps we can brainstorm together and offer some real solutions .....
Lets make this a thread that offers real possible answers

They do not, actually, believe the US is serious about defending ourselves. How many will we have to kill? As many as it take to convince them that our intentions are serious.
Anything short of massive, overwhelming violence is a bean fart in a tornado.

Good luck getting a constructive answer from people here. They are all too busy breaking their ! key over who can give the most over the top statement.
Passive defense would work. Stock the Rio Grande River with piranha. The military has an anti-personnel weapon that uses microwaves to disperse mobs.
We have our answer.
Inform the Mexican Government that the United States is expecting them to enforce their own laws and if they cannot then the US will apply sterner measures like freezing all reparation payments from the US to Mexican Addresses. The US will not tolerate a border invasion, armed or not!
Not our problem.Seal the border, cut aid to all countries that refuse to hold these illegals back and leave them in Mexico. If these people can walk thousands of miles well fed and healthy, they can walk home. Do not enable them.
Look at what has happened in Israel for an example. This is the same kind of deal. America will be damned if they take action and damned if they don’t. No win except possibly on tax payer money, lack of future crime and the burden on the welfare and tax system including LEGAL immigration issues.
They hate us as evidenced by their actions. This is a planned invasion. It should be met as such despite the whiny media love of everything unAmerican.
Institute a 90% tax on all remittances to Mexico and the rest of Central America, immediately.
Terminate all foreign aid to same...immediately.
Place a bounty on George Soros (The Last Nazi), all of his issue, and all organization heads associated with or receiving funding from him.
Simply refinance the problem:
All costs associated with any Foreign National or their offspring, including but not limited, Education, Healthcare,Housing,Food, All damages incurred to any US Citizen or Legal US Resident, shall be the financial responsibility of the Public Employee’s in the State in which it occurred.
The treasury department shall withhold whatever percentage necessary from ALL residents that can be defined as a Public Employee of a State, City, County, Municipality or the Federal Government, to cover ALL Costs and Damages by Foreign Nationals and their offspring that entered the Country or remain in the Country without proper legal authorization.
IMO, short of violence, promise (with conviction) to cut off every dime to Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras, including wire transfers. Search every truck and train car. Shut it down and make life miserable enough for everyone to demand the BS stop. Those countries will “repatriate” their citizens quick.
Disrupt the column while it is still deep in Mexico. Insert small units to infiltrate the column, sabotage transportation equipment, disrupt logistics, contaminate food, start fires, etc. Remove march leaders during the night, buy off corrupt local police to act like they usually do, make an agreement with one of the cartels to start picking up and disposing of some of the marchers, and generally make life very difficult for every mile they move toward the US.

That was response #3 but the first two were off topic. That answers the question, "How smart are Freepers?".
It is not "our" problem! It is Mexico's problem.
We should treat borders for what they are.
Only at our invitation may people pass across, Those that attempt to force their way in are still on the soil of, in this case, their willing enabler. All others may be righteously and effectively repelled.
(Unless, of course, our intent is to to promote globalism.)
The first issue is; who has organized and paid for this? Find out who they are and what laws they’ve violated. Also, sabotage the payment methods. A direct cyber attack may be in order.
Don’t give up on the Mexican authorities. This is an invading army passing through Mexico. The US has huge leverage with Mexico. We could, for example, forbid travel to Mexico, thus impacting a major source of income. We could close the borders to all travel. A huge number of Mexicans make their living in the US. An even larger number make their living in a secondary way off the border traffic. We also spend millions of dollars helping the Mexican government at all levels from police equipment to military hardware. (There are, of course, political costs to every potential solution. This is why Trump gets the big bucks. He also has no fear of consequences, which makes him extremely effective. Because this is well known, he can make a threat and that may be the only thing required.)
Let’s not forget bribes. Mexico is very corrupt and we can use that to our advantage.
Also, these people are being paid to be crisis actors. We can simply pay them to go away. Or, we can make returning to their homeland more attractive than coming to America. We can also use our leverage with their home countries to make them take action to arrest their citizens. This presumes the countries involved can be convinced they have a case and the US will “pay” them to take action. Again, I’m okay with bribes.
This might be a good opportunity to set up an electronic pain fence based on crowd control devices already developed but never used in Iraq. Nothing happens if they people stay away, but if they enter a zone they experience pain.
Another approach might be to convince the Democrats that they are harming their election chances so that they call the financiers and call the whole thing off. (Yes, there probably is some collusion. Not that we’d ever have a special prosecutor investigate it.)
At no point in the development of this thought exercise did I say, “shoot them all.”
Take Honduras as payment.
Intercept the caravan on the Mexico side of the border (since they never reach U.S. soil, most of U.S. immigrations law regarding hearings and such don’t apply).
Tell Mexico we will be happy to leave when they bring in their military to stop and turn back the caravan.

A live TV coverage of the invasion in real time as a TV show is a good idea too. Keep the negativity of this visible through election day.
As I understand, Posse comitatus is to prevent the military from acting as police. Defending the border against an invading army is certainly within the scope of the military.

President Trump should point out how much giving “aid and comfort” to illegal immigrants reduces the funds available for programs that the Demonrats claim they support.
IOW, remind their base that Dims care NOTHING about giving benefits to people, and only about getting power—and through it bennies— for themselves!
