Asylum Interview And Questions
The asylum interview can be the most important part of the asylum application process. It is your opportunity to tell your story in your own way.

Once you enter the asylum interview office, the asylum officer will greet you and ask you to stand and raise your right hand. The asylum officer will then swear you in. You will then take a seat and the asylum officer will begin asking you questions. If you don’t understand a question, say “can you please repeat the question” and if you still don’t understand the question, you can say “I am sorry but I don’t understand the question.” If you get emotional during the interview, that is absolutely fine. However, your interview is not the time to hide or be shy about telling your story.

Each asylum officer has a different style of interviewing, but generally, the below questions will likely be asked.

Did you leave the United States after applying for asylum?

What is your spouses name?

What are the names of your children?
Have you ever been to immigration court?
Have you ever committed any crimes while in the United States?
Have you ever committed any crime in your home country?
Have you ever lied to the United States government?
When did you last leave your home country?
How long have you been in the United States?
How many times have you been to the United States?
Do you fear going back to your home country?
If you fear going back to your home country, why?
Have you ever been harmed in your home country?
Have you ever been physically harmed in your home country?
Have your friends and family ever been harmed in your home country?
Why were you harmed?
When were you harmed?
Explain how the harm happened?
Have you or your family members ever been accused of, charged, detained, interrogated, convicted, sentenced, or imprisoned in any

Regarding your above question. I was wondering the same. Again, I have heard, that they must ask for asylum in the first country entered, otherwise we don't have to take them.. So most of these would need to ask for asylum in Mexico. If they do not have to show proof, why wouldn't they just say they were Mexicans, thereby their "first country" would be the US & again, we would be obligated to take them in for processing & hearing?

Let's hope this brilliant President has an answer to our questions and a Game Plan well in place...The military would be the only answer I see because of General Mad Dog. I'm thinking...and this is my fictional experience kicking in...there's people among this group that is studying the people and situation. That would have been my plan if I was in charge...and thankfully I'm not...LOL

I think you are correct. However, in the articles I have read about the 800 troops, they are there to provide logistical support, tents... as assistance to Border Patrol. So, to me, it doesn't sound like they will be a military wall of resistance. I hope what I am reading is giving me the wrong.impression.

Or Chalupa. I was amazed when I saw that & I am thinking that it probably only represents legal immigration. When/if we ever get a handle on immigration, it might be time to let some other countries get a shot at legal, merit-based immigration.

2017...16,605 agents on the southwest border...ADD the 800 military...
