Anyone see it? Just fizzled out @ 7:35 PST.
The BEST ever! Special was the 1st stage return.
When the 2nd stage lit off that cloud was HUGE!
Beautiful.,....well done!!
From the Strand in Dana Point it was an epic show.
If you enlarge that photo it looks like an old Volkswagon bus re-entering the atmosphere.
Thank You
...and you
Not a bad show from the Huntington beach pier, either!
Was quite the light show a hour north of Sacramento.
Wish I had known about it.
I would have zipped to the top of Mount Madonna for the view...
It was way kewl from Reno!
I just happen to be in San Diego with the wife on vacation and we saw it and it was spectacular!
That was awesome. Thanks for putting that up.
Congratulations! I’m still pumped. I’ve been a ULA guest at two launches at Vandenburg and tonight ranked right up there with those! Did you see the blue glowing rings or was I dreaming?
Yes, we saw the blue glowing rings! Amazing.
Yup.
Rocket launch.
Taofledermaus on YouTube has a video up.
He watched it go.
#7. Looks like a giant Blue Grouper fish. Would make one helluva fish fry.
that’s what I saw! only much bigger and brighter blue and red and gold at the bottom. And the two white spots looked like white eyes. I raced up from the barn to grab my better half so he could see it, too, but by the time I got to the top of the mountain it wasn’t as bright as a few minutes prior and the ‘eyes’ weren’t as close together. I guess one of the eyes was a second stage? or maybe it was the first?
I guess the blue and red glow was from the first stage coming back and landing right smack dab down on the same launch pad. Can you imagine?!
We saw contrails stretching back quite a ways, too - several rays - and then, it was gone. But no sonic booms for us - just silent beauty
A-——mazing!

That was beautiful with the music and from 120 miles away.
Even the fairings can be seen dropping away.
I loved how SpaceX put out a warning a couple of days ahead of time so the maximum number of people could see their light show (sunlight hits the exhaust when the rocket is high enough). It’s free advertising for them and in an indirect way for Tesla.
I recalled the “ufo” calls in NJ when Eastward flights of the SR-71 would refuel just “that-a-way”.
The pilot would do the dip and five while lighting the burners to bust Mach on the climb, the chemical that lit the burners would shoot green flame, and in would come the UFO calls.
That’s what this reminded me of.
