Want to get ready for tomorrow and celebrate. I'm going to buy some LITE BEER, but what brand?? Then it got me to start thinking "What brand of BEER did Brett Kavanaugh drink when he was eighteen and what brand does he drink today? Then I found this........ Introduced in 1982 as Budweiser Light, Budweiser's flagship light beer with 4.2% ABV and 110 calories per 12 US fl oz (355 mL) serving (1,300 kJ/L).[5] From 1993 to 1998, Bud Light aired 30-second commercials featuring Rob and Laura from the CBS series The Dick Van Dyke Show. But wait, isn't Cindy McCain the heiress to Anheuser-Busch Empire and isn't BUD LITE a Busch product? Think I'm going to buy a bottle of WHISKEY.
On the cheap, I prefer Yuengling. It's a fine old lager. Heineken is slightly better but a little more expensive
My next preference is the IPA (India Pale Ale--60 or 90 minute) from Dogfish Head. Excellent.
There are so many craft beers out there that it will take you forever to find your favorite...but what a fun trip.
I will celebrate Kavanaugh's confirmation with a new IPA.
BTW, what I love about IPA's is that they are very "hoppy."
Tastes great!
Haha.... Excellent!
Killian’s Irish Red
Coors (technically the cans with two little punch out holes but not made any more)
Rolling Rock
Michelob
Hoist one for me - had to give it up 30 years ago out of self defense....because I can’t, doesn’t mean I think others shouldn’t....
YES! or Arbeg or Laphroaig!
“My toasting beverage AFTER I hear the 51st. Aye! will be Abita Amber.”
At the 50th “AYE!” vote (that’s all we need, because Pence is the tie-breaker) I’ll raise a glass of Connemara peated single malt Irish whiskey in celebration. Up to that time I’ll be drinking Guinness.
I enjoy good craft beer most of the time, but I have a strange affinity for Old Milwaukee. I can’t explain it, but there it is.
“We have a Kentucky bourbon ale which is brewed in Lexington. It is aged in used bourbon barrels. Has a nice smooth finish and a very pleasant aroma.”
I used to go to Kentucky on business a lot before I retired, and I always enjoyed that bourbon ale.
Me and mine are going to uncork a magnum of Mums as soon as the count gets to 51!!
Less. filling!!
Knob Creek or Makeer’s Mark.
PBR lite was frequently $1.06 a six pack at Kroger in the early eighties. I know some college kids who drank a lot of it.
i’ll celebrate with a dab,maybe 2.
I refuse to use Budweiser and beer in the same sentence. And yes, I am a beer snob.
I deliberately do not post pictures of myself, escept for one publicity picture for business.
Maybe it’s a form of adult pica. LOL
Good for you!!
The pic can just be a close up of beer glasses being cheered.
