I just prefer for animals to die a natural death, unless of course they suffered a horrible injury. Today is the first day I suspect he may be in pain, but I can’t get any pain meds for him. He may not have the strength to put up a fight at the vets now, but he would still feel the trauma. He’s been clingy and sitting on my lap most of the day, and I got an eyedropper if he needs more water. I think he’d rather pass at his home with me. I may be wrong, and I thought about it today, but Lord please forgive me.
The vets said they would have to check him and weigh him so they could give him the right dose. They said it doesn’t matter if he’s dying. I guess that’s the law, but it doesn’t make any sense in this case.
The right times doesnt make any sense, they are euthanizing him. What would be the downside to giving too much? Yeah, I suppose there are lots of laws that are illogical.
I just didnt want you or the kitty to suffer too much. Its nice that hes on your lap and wanting attention. I know he feels your love and is comforted.
Keep us informed.
I just Realized you meant they needed the weight to get the right dosage for pain pills. That does make sense, Although is incredibly frustrating for you.
Rusty I had a kitty that was very ill he HATED the car, I put him in the car anyway and took him to the vet, at the vet I zipped open the carrier to take him out and he was dead, I was HYSTERICAL, I will NEVER forgive myself for putting him in that car NEVER!!!!!
I understand. (((hugs for your kitteh and you))).
