Maybe we should go back to the way it was ORIGINALLY, for Senators....as in repealing the 17th Amendment.

....they were elected by the State legislature and reported to the state legislature (by districts, by the people of the district), and they went to DC for a few months, out of the year - earning a stipend - and returned to their ‘regular’ day jobs, for the remainder of the year.

No corrupt DC lobbyist money...or, at least to the extent it is, today. And, they would be able to plan whatever personal business/events they may have, during their LONGER time at home.

Unfortunately, for We The People, being a Senator has now become a lifelong ‘career’....at our expense :(

I did. It was called a Subcutaneous Ulnar Nerve Transposition. They move the nerve from the groove that it normally is in and place it under the fat in your elbow to help cushion it. If you don’t repair it, and it gets to the stage where your fingers curl in then it can’t be repaired and the damage is permanent. I went to a hand surgeon. He also repaired the carpal tunnel on both hands. Quilting every day all day...
