Sorry, I can’t remember who said it. But, Kavanaugh will reportedly fare better on the full floor vote, bringing in Democrat votes, but getting the vote out of Committee is, of course, the moment’s nail biter, in the hands of the usual suspects- UniParty RINOS, all.
Grassley is said to be determined to send the confirmation on to the floor, whether he has the Committee votes to do so, or not. Thank God.

The democrats are NOT afraid of overturning Roe v. Wade. The Right of Privacy has been cited on over 350 SCOTUS rulings and it would be too much to overturn all of that.
The democrats ARE AFRAID of a memo that came out in one of the last decisions over the summer where the role of a single Federal Judge (activist) being able to stop or overrule the Executive Branch was questioned as being unconstitutional. That is what Kav will go after. The SCOTUS will raise the standard for overruling the Executive branch to either a SCOTUS decision or a 2/3rds vote of both houses of Congress.
The liberals are counting on finding one liberal judge somewhere to thwart Trump on everything. If that goes away, they are permanently screwed and the swamp can be drained.

If the activist Federal judges are shut down, and Voter ID (with auditable paper-trail ballots) is implemented, we win for 50-100 years.
I was so proud of Lindsay Graham, but in heart, even his powerful speech can not replace Kav changing his own history, with that 45 minute opening statement.
The whole circus, for me, faded into the rear view mirror, but for those TWO men, Kav and Lindsay.
