How many of you agree that Senator Grassley should step down because of his continued incompetence?
LOL...gross....but, now SHE has to prove that that is NOT her :-)
The onus is on her!
Turn about...and, all that.
They want him to play hardball, fail to get Kavanaugh confirmed, and lose control of the Senate in November.
Of course they don’t see it that way (except for the hardball part), but they seek instant gratification, consequences be damned.
The more nonsense you tolerate, the more of it you’ll get.
Grassley has allowed the confirmation process to be destroyed. This is setting an ugly precedent.
****
We all know they are trying to put Kavanaugh off so he won't be voted on until after the elections.
It won't work.
We'll know more late tonight.
How many of you agree that there are a lot more incompetent Democrats that need to be gone & not just looked at before we even consider Sen Grassley?
Sounds like a plan to me.
Grassley has not been incompetent. He has another dozen judge nominees (including Kavanaugh) on Monday’s agenda to be passed through.
In less than two years under Pres. Trump, Grassley has herded hundreds of nominees through the process and obtained their approvals from the Senate.
Im betting Grassley is as frustrated about the way things are going as most of us. It would help a lot to have more GOP senators to make up for the Flakes in the party.
He’s following the orders of Flake and Colins.
By nominating Kavanaugh before Barrett, Trump is giving us a chance to watch the characters and the narrative that they will pull out of their hats — and sure enough, there is a Blasey Ford connection with Corcept, the abortion pill maker, apparently. She supposedly designs statistical studies for the company. I tried to find a link to this information other than Althouse or InfoWars but couldn’t.
The left will go insane over Barrett.
You probably know Feinstein has already taken some shots at Barrett and we can be sure the left by now has perfected that attack. If it is able to defeat the K nomination it will be encouraged to be even more aggressive with Barrett.
Not sure I agree Trump used K as an ice-breaker. I think he is anxious to break the USSC 4-4 tie and in fact had good reason to think K would have an easier trip through the committee than Barrett. And, I do not think a man like K would voluntarily expose his family to the sort of damage we have seen; there is not much, if anything, that can compensate for that.
But you may be correct if the only real criticism of Barrett to be raised by the left is that she is a Catholic. Those days have been over for some time.
