It should be OBVIOUS to anyone that this entire charade is a TACTIC by the DemonRats to DELAY the confirmation vote of Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court until AFTER the midterm election where the DemonRats hope to gain the majority in the House and possibly Senate.
Dr. Ford's calling for the FBI to investigate is entirely inappropriate. Such an investigation is a matter for the congnizant police dept NOT the FBI. It is Congress' decision to make, NOT FORD'S and she is entirely out of line for making such a request. WHY DIDN'T FORD OR FORD'S ATTORNEY ASK FOR SUCH AN INVESTIGATION 3 MONTHS AGO?

Three months ago it would have the (perceived) urgency it does here at the last minute.
Their belief is that voters have “short memories”, so it needed to be done as close to the mid terms as possible.
Also, they want to delay, delay, delay.

3 months ago wouldn’t have impacted the scheduling of the hearing and the voting to accept him. The democrat who’s coordinating this attack chose to wait until days after the hearing, knowing it would delay the vote.

Why didn’t she bring it up when Bush nominated him to the DC Appeals Court. That is frequently described as one step below the SCOTUS.
Good point - Ford’s defenders keep saying these allegations came to light only this week - not true - she sent the letter last July, and there would have been two months for investigation and preparation for a hearing - if Feinstein had not tried to keep it secret......

A tactic Trump could do right now is name a substitute possibility for Bret that is twice as conservative if Kavanaugh fails. He needs to make it clear that no matter what happens, he will get the pick in before October and/or January before the Dems can have the Senate.
After I posted, a substitute name for SCOTUS came to me,........Pence or.....Ted Cruz! VP would be easy to replace and Cruz would take SCOTUS in a heartbeat.
The whole point was to spring it at the eleventh hour as dictated by sChmuckie Schumer and DiFi, and most importantly, the money wasn't there and this makes for a better book deal.
This is nothing but a game of delay tactics.
they didn’t really want an investigation - that’s why Ford sent a letter to WaPo before she sent one to Feinstein. All they wanted was to turn two senators against confirmation. And they got it right out the gate. But Grassley called their bluff. And they’re caught. Another boy that was accused of being at the party has come forward to deny he was at any party. So that’s three of the ‘total four’ people she claimed were there, her being the fourth. Unless she changes her story again on the number of people.
