Trump put out a nominee list and has used only two. There are plenty potential nominees left....and the list does not include Cruz.

He's a good Senator. Peter's Principle comes to mind.

I know that Justice Scalia responded to that line of thought by saying that the glamorous cases we hear about like Roe v. Wade are one thing - and the day-to-day work of the Court is something else. And that “something else” is lawyer's work, pure and (not so) simple.

There’s no requirement for a SCOTUS member to be a lawyer. But Cruz is a lawyer, that definitely works.

But once Kavanaugh is confirmed, and once RBD is hauled off to the old folks’ home, I want Trump to nominate Sarah Palin. Maybe do it on April 1st. Just for fun. Let the heart attacks begin.
