The woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault came forward with her explosive allegations on Sunday, saying the supposed attack "derailed me substantially for four or five years" and claiming that the episode rendered her "unable to have healthy relationships with men."
The woman, Christine Ford, is a professor at Palo Alto University, according to The Washington Post, which published her account on Sunday. Her decision to go public caps a whirlwhind week that began when Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., sent shockwaves through Washington by releasing a statement saying she turned over information about Kavanaugh from an anonymous accuser to the FBI.
Ford, a 51-year-old registered Democrat who has published in academic journals and trains students in clinical psychology, described the alleged incident on Sunday, saying it occurred at a Maryland house gathering. Ford claimed she headed upstairs to a bathroom when she was suddenly pushed onto a bed, as rock-and-roll music blared.

Sorry for the negative statement... This topic is very important to me for many reasons, including being the receiving end of false accusations by women with bipolar disorder. I’ve been researching and lecturing at conferences on this topic for many years. Bad therapists really get under my skin and I have cost several of them their careers.
Memory research is the focus of my neuroscience research and I have a degree in psychology. I’m retired but occasionally work as a forensic litigation consultant
Here is an excellent Ted Talk by Elizabeth Loftus. The leading expert on “conflabulated” memory.

Could have been sunshine or window pane.
Agreed. What makes me suspicious is that she remembers his name although they had no contact thereafter. I’ve been sitting here thinking about “things” that happened in HS and college and I can remember close to when, what and where but I can’t remember names or faces, even those I was with more than once.
"There were four boys at the party" may imply that there were only four boys, but it doesn't necessarily and inescapably commit the speaker to that conclusion. Bear in mind, that this is the newspaper's wording. We don't necessarily know how she or her therapist actually put it at the time.
It's interesting that she didn't mention how many girls were at the party. The implication one might draw is that she was alone in the house with the four boys, but that's probably not going to be her story.
For the record, I think she probably told different stories at different times, and "four boys at the party, two in the room" is her way of reconciling the different versions. You can certainly treat it as yet another contradiction if she now says there were more than four boys at the party. I'm just saying that second-hand accounts without direct quotes can be deceptive.
Calling all guys who knew her intimately during her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, especially the ones who wound up with a case of the crabs.
Remember when Lewinsky produced a blue dress, and everyone laughed? Well it was the Democrats who were doing the laughing, and it was nervous laughter. Say what you will, Lewinsky saved the evidence, like the proficient Mossad agent she was trained to be. HRC has been going after Israel ever since. but she missed her big chance when Trump interrupted.
Not helping.
There have been some baseless allegations in #MeToo, and this is the strategy we will employ to defeat the Democrat's slander.
We will use the "Bailey Standard" - the President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the as the measuring stick:
- The Academy received three complaints of harassment by Academy president John Bailey in mid-March
- He was elected Academy President in August 2017
- There was a devoted cadre of triggered libtards trying to get at this distinguished cinematographer & movie executive from the very start: "There were concerns about whether a 75-year-old white man was best suited to lead the Academy at a time when it is making a push to diversify its membership."
- When Bailey was asked about that by Variety: "What you just said is bulls--. I was born a white man, and I cant help it that Im 75 years old. Is this some sort of limiting factor?"
- Just 11 days after being accused by three separate women, Academy President John Bailey was cleared and the allegations were universally dismissed by the Academy: "The Committee unanimously determined that no further action was merited on this matter."
- The Committee, in their decision refuting the allegation, further elaborated: "The Academy said that those reports of three claims were incorrect, saying, "there was only one claim under consideration, which was received on Tuesday, March 13, 2018."
- Bailey had issued a March 24 memo to the Academys staff in which he said the media reports were false and have served only to tarnish my 50-year career.
- Bailey continued in the memo, There was a single named complaint regarding an allegation dating back more than a decade ago in which I am alleged to have to attempted to touch a woman inappropriately while we were both riding in a transport van on a movie set. That did not happen.
This, FReepers, is how we are going to respond to this. We are going to use the "Bailey Standard", in fact we are going to use the same language to defeat this lie.
RULE 4: Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.
I remember, VERY CLEARLY, two traumatic incidents, both when I was in first grade, and 6 years old.
I told my parents and they acted immediately to confront the guilty parties.
Neither event forced me into therapy or had any effect on my adult life.
This is a last ditch effort to undermine Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination and I hope that he sues her for defamation of character.
Sure. If there were 20, it will look like a lie, if there 5 it will look like mistake.
No. These subhuman losers inhabit the depths of everything .
Seriously 10% of this forum better stock up on Depends because they are nothing but pee pee pants.
The women has actually done her allegation more discredit by no longer being anonymous....
1.Her story now does not match up with previously alleged assertions (2 boys, 4 boys?)
2. She can now be identified as a definite partisan as opposed to just a likely one. (Financial support of Democrat activist causes)
3. Blatant and dubious memory lapses concerning date, time, location, and host.)
4. Accused was never named in 36 years prior to being nominated for SCOTUS.
5. Lie detector data is notoriously unreliable hence it’s being barred from being used as evidence against any accused.
6.Demonstable inconsistencies in declared motivation, prior statements and 36 year behavioral history of alleged victim.
Too just name a few.
I also understand she is remembers very little, except it was in Maryland and THE COUNTY she was in......TRUST Me most fifteens year olds dont even know what a COUNTY IS, let alone that being the one thing she knows for sure. LOLOLOLOLOLOL
Or they waited until the hearings were over so he couldn’t respond. Or they waited because they are juts trying to drag it out. Or they waited so they get him to try to make statements they could then try to disprove. He was smart to keep the denial as brief as it was. If he had said he didn’t know her, or there was no party, he’d be in trouble if the Dems get the other two boys to come forward.
Not sure if Facebook is Wayback'ed. Let me check.
I know you were just naming a few, but for me the key one is the other guy that she said was there has strongly denied this ever happened.
The strategy is to paint Republicans as misogynists.
If the response is just to call her a slut and make a lot of sexual innuendos about her, then she wins.
“Yes, he will...
Because Trump doesnt lose these types of fights...”
Then he better put the screws to those 2 Repub women waffling on the nomination ASAP and get them on board.
Agreed, but my point was to identify those things that have caused discredit to her allegation SINCE she let herself be known.
The other individual present made his statements while the accuser was still anonymous.
Dramatizing and perhaps rewriting a selected incident to construct a new narrative to explain the various difficulties in her life. I thought of that too. It's kinda what shrinks since Freud have been trained to do: construct a narrative, and literal truth is secondary to dramatic requirements. This may even be therapeutically defensible "if it works," as long as another person isn't injured.
That doesn't mean that the story is a complete fabrication (although that's possible, just as it's possible that she is substituting Kavanaugh for someone else). It would just suggest that she has found it opportune to rearrange her memories to suit a newly arising purpose.
One of my questions would be whether she has had any contact with Kavanaugh since the day in question, and what was the nature of their conversations.
