But surely, I push him, Bach could give Trump a valuable lesson in humility; if he asked you to do a private performance . . . ? Would I play for him on his deathbed? No, Ma says. I operate on the premise that absolutely anybody can change, and I also recognise that its possible that somebody may never change . . . I also think, just by observing the performance arts world, huge ego is very often matched by huge insecurity.

Like anyone would want to hurry up and die if he did.
I will never read an article in Financial Times. Not even on their death bed.
(Snicker, Snicker!)
Well stated.
I doubt someone on their deathbed would even want some fag hip hopper in their room.
Hey JackAss, Shut-Up!
Yo mama, Yo Yo Ma
I’m sure that’ll teach Trump
"Yo yo...MAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!" |
It’s yo yo loss.
Yo Yo Ma has shamed himself professionally and as a person.
While I do have a selection of classical music on my iphone none of it is yo yo music. If I was to entertain the notion of adding any to my collection this little rant extinguished any desire to do so til the day I die. New rule...No Yo Yos.
I’m familiar with Mr. Ma in a basic way. I’ve heard some of his collaborations with other classic or folk artists.
I am disappointed, but not terribly bothered by it.
I’ve never expected much from him anyway.
Obviously, even at his stature of accomplishment, Mr. Ma remains insecure and needy for peer acceptance.
Yo Yo Who!!!
Yo-Yo Ma and Emmanuel Ax live in Japan in 1989.
Dear Yo-yo,
Sorry to hear that you aren't getting as many gigs as you used to, and need the publicity.
If I may be so bold as to make a suggestion that may be of help?
If you were to just send a copy of your invitation to the White House dated any time after Jan 20, 2017, and of your Virtue-signalling response, declining, to the New York Times, the publicity bomb would be spectacular!
Deleting Yo-yo from my iTunes.
What a hateful weasel
LOL!!! I know who the asshole is....just my way of saying who gives a crap what he thinks and why would he think a president of the US would invite him to play!!!
