Burt also shaved half his mustache on The Tonight Show.

I guess Lauren Hutton is the deciding factor there. Never could quite accept Jerry Reed as a tough-guy Southern crime boss sort of character, though. Oh, and Gator featured Mike Douglas as a southern governor with the worst comb-over in history. Interesting choices.
When Burt was dating Dinah he was the #1 box office draw in America and had literally millions of women with the hots for him.
I always presumed she must have been absolutely unbelievable in the sack to retain his attention.
Burt Reynolds recently spoke about his past romance with Sally Field, calling her the love of his life and now hes opening up even more about the relationship in a new interview with PEOPLE.
I really adored her, he says. It was real. Shes very, very, special. Her mother and I . . . I loved her mother.
The star, 79, who costarred with Field, 69, in four films, says Fields mother told him, I know youre going to break her heart, but please be gentle.
I said, I dont know how you could break somebodys heart and be gentle, but I dont intend to break her heart. You never intend to.
Reynolds writes about Fields and his other famous exes, including Loni Anderson and Dinah Shore, in his candid new memoir, But Enough About Me.
He dated Shore, a singer and TV personality who was 20 years his senior, in the 1970s but broke things off when he realized he wanted to have kids.
Theres nobody better, he says. I never, ever heard her say anything bad about anybody. Ever. I dont know how she did it.
When it comes to both women, I moved on from them much too soon, he says, and they probably moved on a little too late.

He had a wonderful sense of humor, but I always sensed that he had a self confidence thing. There was awhile there when he had like two or three hit movies a year.
He jumped the shark, at the height of his career when he did the Playboy Interview, and made some off color comments about Roy and Dale Rogers. Then he played second fiddle with Clint in Dick Tracy?
He climbed the ladder with his relationship with Dinah Shore...which moved to Lonnie Anderson then Gidget.
IN short, the guy couldn’t handle success.
“In the nether regions.”
Awwww! Thanks! Good times, good times.
One of the good guys and a loyal Florida man. He’ll be missed.
He played football in the mid-1950’s as a running back for Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL.
Lee Corso was his roommate.
You can't take it with you.
In my opinion, you had a perfect life if you die broke. Of course, if you were broke ALL your life, that's an entirely different story.
Deliverance was his best movie. I never cared that much for the Smokey & Bandit nonsense. Those were formula movies. Deliverance was art.
“...Lee Majors still with us at 79....”
And so is Keith Richards at however old he is.
I found some Dan August episodes on YouTube.
That's a wrap.
