I don’t have a strong opinion on Pence, but I do have one criticism of your theory.

So *IF* Pence was DS, he would have known that the fix was in and he would have been free to campaign hard, knowing that what he did would make no difference.
So whether or not he helped Trump does not influence my thinking on whether or not he is/was DS.
I don’t think Pence left his position as governor of Indiana knowing Trump would lose. He saw the rallies and enthusiasm and would have known, like we here did, that Trump had a good shot of winning. I don’t buy that Pence took a flyer on a loser. If he was looking to his future in the party, being part of a losing campaign for a grassroots campaign would have hurt his future, not helped. He was a good soldier during the NBC tape when it would have been easy to throw him under the bus and hurt the campaign on behalf of the DS.

If I’m reading your comment, I don’t disagree, and I think you actually are supporting what I was thinking, but perhaps you stated it better. That is what I meant by “Blebs” - indiscretions, but was given the chance to participate in giving Trump and the good guys the win.... and the opportunity to also be counted in the good guy column - if he played straight with DJT and Us, the American People. So far, it appears he has done so.
I guess we shall see.
