It feels like the McCain "death announcement" and subsequent Kyl appointment deal was made to ensure that Kavanaugh was confirmed. That's the Oracle take. This is Q taking a victory lap.
As Q pointed out in an earlier post tonight, control of the Supreme Court is of SUPREME importance (pun intended) and well worth the travesty we just witnessed during McCain Week.
