Our thread lurkers/posters include, among others, atheists, protestants, agnostics, Roman Catholics, Episcopalians, and those of the Jewish faith, none of these groups are superior in intellect, respectability or worth. Posts criticizing/chastising people or groups for their personal views (e.g., calling adherents "delusional") are not appropriate for the Q thread. The religion forum would not support that sort of discussion either.

I request that all who post on our thread refrain from divisive evaluations of belief/non belief systems. Discussion of religious content in Q drops may at times require qualifying remarks more directly (e.g., stating instead of just knowing or implying that a faith system is not best represented by those members whom are guilty of revolting crimes).

In real life, we love our friends an family members equally regardless of their embrace (or lack thereof) of any particular belief system - it may take a more conscious effort when posting on our threads to make sure this is clearly conveyed to others reading or posting with us.

I thought I was rather even handed in my observations--while explaining why the RCC at this time is bearing so much weight in the public discourse. If you are asking that we not discuss the abuse stuff, so be it.

Or perhaps it's OK to discuss abuse among protestant leadership and congregations?

An inability or unwillingness to examine the sources, aspects, factors of abuse in such a forum as this is NOT an example of the robust and free exchange of ideas that has made America great.

Or are you saying that the subject is just too hot and emotional for our feeble forms to handle constructively?

Regardless, I can comply. I don't need the grief, either.
