Amnesty International calls in investigators after second staff suicide
Amnesty International is calling in external investigators to examine two staff suicides that have caused an internal crisis at the worlds best-known human rights organisation.
Roz McGregor, 28, an Amnesty intern from Leatherhead, Surrey, took her own life five weeks after Gaetan Mootoo, 65, a veteran researcher, ended his at the organisations Paris offices. Both worked for Amnestys international secretariat, which is based in Clerkenwell, London.
#Mootoo — I hope that doesn’t turn out to be as ironic a name as it first appears.
Wow! it’s getting western out there.
