PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia — A Malaysian-led independent investigation report released Monday, more than four years after Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 disappeared, highlighted shortcomings in the government’s response and raised the possibility of “intervention by a third party.”
The report, prepared by a 19-member international team, reiterated Malaysia’s assertion the plane was deliberately diverted and flown for over seven hours after severing communications.
Chief investigator Kok Soo Chon said the cause of the disappearance cannot be determined until the wreckage and the plane’s black boxes are found. He said there was no evidence of abnormal behavior or stress in the two pilots that could lead them to hijack the plane but all passengers were also cleared by police and had no pilot training.
“We are not of the opinion that it could be an event committed by the pilot,” Kok told a media briefing.

My SWAG is an electrical fire (accident or sabotage), took out commo and then flight controls.
Remember Swissair 111? Different aircraft, but there are similarities.

I saw that this story has made Fox news now. Most likely the other networks too.
Anything to deflect blame from the airlines.
Swissair was in communications with the ground throughout the problem and almost to the crash. The Malaysia Air flight was completely silent.
Aren't there easier ways to get a 777 than that? Besides, what about the wreckage that has been found and ID'd as from the plane?
Why wait 4 years (and counting) to use it?
Or the survivors could be on an island somewhere typing 4 8 15 16 23 42 into a Dharma Initiative computer every 108 minutes?
