I know it is wrong but is it illegal to do that?
Not a legal mind!

Cboldt is an actual lawyer.
Nuances in law are pretty critical. He says that Manafort WASN’T exonerated. He says that the Feds failed to prosecute.
If Cboldt is right, and he’s seldom wrong, then it leads to a bunch of other questions:
1. Why now?
2. Statute of limitation applies here?
etc.
Bottom line, it will impact the government in the trial in a negative way. Cboldt would know more.
The keyword we’re looking for is, “Oracle”
I know, the point is the judge has indicated he is not going to give them any leeway in making the case about Trump.
I know one person who fits that description....
Awesome and congrats!

~So glad I'm finally Qaught up again!

The FARA citation has a statute of limitations.
Thank you for the info.
Will watch for Cboldt’s posting.
Yes.
U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts period: TheWhitey Bulger Case was a complete mess.
DOJ period: "During his tenure, he oversaw prosecutions including that of Panamanian leader Manuel Noriega, the Pan Am Flight 103 (Lockerbie bombing) case, and of the Gambino crime family boss John Gotti."
The Panama case always seemed suspicious to me. Noriega was captured, brought to America, tried, served his sentence, sent to France for more jail time, and died. In this entire period of years I don't think he was ever permitted to have one interview. Remember that creepy leftist Mumia Jamal had a regular show on PBS for several years. Here's a bit from the Times obit:
Mr. Noriega was convicted in April 1992 and sentenced to 40 years in prison. He insisted all along that the trial and charges were a farce. I accuse George Herbert Walker Bush of exercising his power and authority to influence and subvert the American judicial system in order to convict me, he said in a two-hour courtroom speech. His sentence was reduced by 10 years, and he was later declared a prisoner of war, allowing him access to a telephone, more visiting hours and even a small salary, among other perks.
But while he was in prison in the United States, Panama tried him in absentia for the execution of soldiers in the failed 1989 coup attempt. And in July 1999, France tried him in absentia on money-laundering charges, accusing him and his wife, Felicidad Sieiro de Noriega, of channeling $3 million in drug profits to banks.
The Pan Am Lockerbie bombing case seemed to go off OK. But who knows, the blame was put on Ghadaffi, another sort of cartoon bad-guy in the American public's perception.
FBI Director Period: bungled anthrax case
In summary, he's made a mess of a lot of things, but still got promoted. Easy to believe his real skill is bailing out the Deep State, the Manuel Noriega arrest being the prime example. (But also - Whitey's brother was an important Dem politician in Mass.)
Mr. Fix It Man, with an MSM provided boy-scout image (anyone targeting R's gets that automatically. Comey got it too. "Boy Scout, total Boy Scout!". Till he revealed his creepiness.)
I like the wine bottle label..
.
And the Judge is the one who said the case is obviously all about Trump, just an attempt to get at him through Manaforte, So the Judge is tuned in and keeping things on track.
The reports today already had the judge telling the prosecutor to quit talking about Manafortes wealth "it's not illegal to be wealthy". LOL. I like the judge a lot, too.
I’m not done with my popcorn yet. I’m going to sit back and watch the show.
I wish federal trials were televised.
DuPage county in Illinois used to be Republican but is now chock-a-block full of arrogant and sissy former Cook County residents who left when the city government started losing control of the urban ferals. “These people are stupid” is pointed right at DuPage.
Dont take the bait LFoD2001! Send it FR-mail.
That kind of post will get the thread shut-down which might be what LJoA wants.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
That is absolutely excellent advice to send stuff like that FR mail.... However...
Cletus, imho LJoA is a newby and has only asked newby like questions and proposed newby like suggestions at times.
LouisianaJoan, I am satisfied, because of willingness to LEARN and ASK QUESTIONS and MAKE COMMENTS with enthusiasm, is just that: a newby.
While perhaps still probationary, LJoA does not warrant the troll accusation that she would want to shut down the thread. Others might, wish to do that, but I’m satisfied that LJOA is not one of them.
We all have had to learn the intricacies of keeping our threads going and alive. It is a learned skill.
Thanks for being vigilant, Cletus and keeping us on track so often when it is needed!
TrueFact that.
At one time, you couldn’t get a RAT to run for an elected position in DuPage.
When this state starts taxing retirement income, we’re outta here.
