Well can’t unsee that now. Actually enjoyed some of the episodes of Rick and Morty. This goes beyond the, at best, edgy jokes of James Gunn. 30 second, brain turned off tweet is one thing, this took a lot of planning to create.

There are sick, twisted parents raising their children as genderless ‘theybies’ so the child can decide what sex they are. No one is saying a peep. Once normalized, who is to say that the same baby/ child can’t decide on it’s own when it wants to have sex?
The problem is - there’s already been pedo jokes in Rick and Morty (Morty himself is the victim in one episode)
Same with Family Guy, that has a running gag of an old pedo man.
And while I’d be happy to no longer see the jokes there’s a difference between creating stories/episodes with pedo gags and personal tweets saying “I did it” even as jokes.
My kids (adult) love Rick and Morty. Uh oh spaghetti-o’s.
Also, I used to watch a lot of American Dad and family guy years ago. Don’t they also make riotous fun of pedos? What about the old man in the walker?? Hm??? Seth MacFarlane still has his job.
