The explanation was that tungsten is tough. True, but an odd choice. Tungsten doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue. Nor is it something that would spring to mind for most people. More likely would be Steel or Titanium (because of the “titanium” credit cards).

There’s a thing called a Batholith - essentially a boil on earth’s face where magma boiled up but cooled in a dome before it spread out like normal lava - rare earths concentration... they’re often called Pilot’s Knobs as they stand up/out enough to navigate by.
