“Roughly 46.5% of Americans are Protestants, 20.8% are Catholics, 1.6% are Mormons” My main concern is that all three of those religions are historically for open immigration.
Yet, with Kavanaugh we get yet another catholic. The supposed next in line is Amy Barrett.
The court is 5 Catholic, 3 Jewish, and one raised and fully Catholic until he married a Brit and started going to her episcopal church (Gorsuch). So culturally, essentially the court is 6 catholics and 3 jewish.
Mormons are an even smaller of a population than Jewish is in America. They also have an very outsized footprint on our government. Flake, Lee, Romney, Hatch, Reid, Huntsman, Udall, Chaffetz, etc.
This is just an observation so save the stormfront invective. But how is this happening? Protestants are about half this nation and simply cannot seem to get onto the court. The small sects of religions are somehow accessing outsized power. The bottom line is that again, DC is far removed from a huge majority of Americans and laughs at their concerns as they work feverishly to keep the immigrant flood pouring in.
Maybe look at the education system. Catholic schools are far superior to gov. schools. I would bet each of them went to a private catholic school.
And to that extent here is a list of all current and past Supreme Court Justices who identify as an Evangelical Christian.

Gee, I wish they'd let one of us on the bus some day. Even sitting at the back of the bus would be OK. But I guess not.
For whatever that's worth ...
