MSNBC Guest Declares We Must Start ‘Civil War’ If Trump Chooses Conservative SCOTUS

Ever since Maxine Waters encouraged her supporters to publicly harass Trump supporters, liberals have denounced civility and things just keep getting worse. Now, Washington Post columnist and MSNBC Contributor Jennifer Rubin announced that if Trump gets his way with the supreme court, it is time for civil war.

“The people who brought Donald Trump and delivered him to the White House want this [the overturn of Roe], and I think they will not be disappointed. So then the question is, if they’re not able to withstand this onslaught, not able to hold back a justice that would reverse Roe, what happens? In essence, we go to 50 civil wars in each of the states, plus the District of Columbia,” she said.

“And here is where I think the Republicans have badly overplayed their hand. There is no, and I mean no significant constituency for doing what they want to do, which is criminalizing abortion and punishing women and/or doctors. Poll after poll, 67%, 69%, 70% of people want to keep Roe. And what that means is, they want to keep a constitutional protection,” said Rubin.

“If that then goes back to the state legislatures, you’re going to see an uproar. And I think if we haven’t already seen women mobilize through the #MeToo movement, through the election of Donald Trump, through the separation of children, you are going to see even more women in the streets, on the ballot, and voting to throw people out who do not recognize women’s personal autonomy,” said Rubin.

So I happened to see a poster for the new movie “The First Purge.” The title of the film was made up in the form of a MAGA hat. Make of it what you will...

Don’t take them lightly.

They’ve been training while you’ve been working.

Get some range time in.

Yep.

We’re there.

Those movies make you think a bit, however, the are a purely liberal view of what they think “conservatives “ are. The minorities are victims of a quasi religious system of government only out to profit from the deaths of the undesirables.

We all know who would be running around doing the killing if the premise of this movie were real.

Killing children is the “feminists” #1 priority.

There is already cheap and effective birth control, yet, infanticide remains their focus.

The civil war is already on. Due to their having instigated it. The question I am wondering though is: what makes them think that they are going to win it? Seeing as their their side does not even have the guns. Further: even the military is overwhelmingly against them. One would think that the Left has some sort of odd death wish. Like they actually believe some Star Wars type logic that being killed will somehow make them more powerful.

What an incredibly irresponsible thing to say. More blood will be on your hands, Rubin.

Abortion should not be sent back to the states for each to decide. Should murder be left up to each state to decide or is that a basic understood ‘wrong’ that should be universal across our country? Either there are definitive, basic standards of morality and ethics or there are not.

If we as a society do not acknowledge a baby in the womb as a human, with all the rights and privileges to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, than we mind as well stop complaining about other societies that apply a ‘final solution’ to subsets of their society. Jews were simply dehumanized in the German state and exterminated just like babies in the womb are dehumanized in the United States (and other countries) and our society allows them to be exterminated behind the closed doors of an abortion facility or hospital.

Either we, including all babies in the womb, are human, with certain inalienable, God given rights or we are not. Choose.

“What an incredibly irresponsible thing to say.”

Irresponsibility presupposes having been taught responsibility.

I’m short on legal knowledge but on a good day have more than a smidgen of common sense. Thus I’m hoping to see someone like Rubin charged with sedition. Heck, I’d even give her newsie brethren an hour or so to draw a crowd as she’s perp walked to booking.
Perhaps the problem is not so much having solid grounds for charging but choosing from a half-dozen or so high profile offenders.
It’s DOJ’s call; before a follow-on martyr’s “lied” is dedicated, charge someone. Imagine the irony of a “Jennifer Ruben Lied” or a Maxine version in rap tempo.

Ironic that this ignorant twit brings up "separating children".

People need to be informed that all that would happen if Roe were to be overturned is that the states would vote on it, which is what should have happened in the first place.

Put it on the ballot: Should a pregnant woman be able to have her baby killed on demand? Start with that question. (And no BS "blob of tissue" arguments.)

Let the people decide, not judges acting as tyrants.

The best part is that Rubin is considered to be a conservative at MSNBC and the WaPo.

There’s also a spectrum relating to development. I think a majority would outlaw third trimester abortion. A majority would permit forms of birth control which prevented implantation of fertilized eggs

Ms. Ruben would be the first across the Canadian border if hostilities broke out. She’s an instigator not a fighter.

Poll after poll, 67%, 69%, 70% of people want to keep Roe.

Hmm, those aren't any numbers I can find anywhere online - only from her. Methinks they are made up. While the majority of Americans do support Roe v. Wade (for now) - lying and making up numbers does not help in a debate. In fact it calls into question that person's integrity and makes everything they state suspect. After all, if they are so obviously willing to lie about one thing, why wouldn't they lie about others? It is also indicative of an intellectual laziness. The numbers are actually on her side, why not report them? Because she is simply too lazy to bother remembering them. So either the issue is not that important to her - and she's being disingenuous which would be in keeping with her lying. Or perhaps she simply has contempt for the people she is trying to reach and doesn't think they deserve her best efforts. Or maybe this is her best, and she is simply incapable of making honest points and remembering facts. None of these things are particularly helpful in swaying people to her point of view - quite the opposite in fact.
