Watching a report on the story here in South Florida an imbecile commented “We don’t know if she is a protester.” I guess the fool must have thought she could have been from the maintenance staff.

Note:Daily Caller Aug.16,2017 reported that the woman who gleefully helped pull down a confederate statue in Durham was a Marxist who wanted to end white supremacy. Everybody laughed it off or ignored it.
Obviously the Statue of Liberty is too big for a demonstrator to pull down, BUT every so often a dynamite plan is uncovered to destroy it. She got much too close. What if she carried a backpack with plastic explosives?

You may be in jest but I do fear there is
truth in your statement. Tracing the history of the creation of the statue and the philosophies and the organizations supporting the statue was a real eye opener. American Christians tended to under analyze and over symbolize obviously evil constructs(physical and philosophical), sanitizing them as “expressions of American freedom” and not as paganistic throwbacks; which in fact they are!
Better that the statue come down and be replaced with a huge copper replica of the US Constitution with the Bill of Rights!

I think in 1886, religious minded Americans may have been bamboozled, gaslighted and made a fool of when they accepted a statute that really depicts Isis/or Apollo “as a symbol of freedom”. The line of the poem came from a socialist and many of the measurements of the statue were derived from mystic Masonic numerology.
As far as I’m concerned all the masonic mystic crap that went into building DC can be done away with as well. A 5 sided pentagon that houses our military command....if that isn’t a direct “in your face” to Jehovah...I don’t know what is. I think God is still kind to the US because there are still righteous people in the US....but a time is coming when like Lot, they will be “spirited” away!
