Former Fox News hosts and conservative commentators Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck offered praise for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez after she knocked off Democratic Rep. Joseph Crowley (N.Y.) in a primary earlier this week.
"I have heard some Republicans deride Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and I think thats a mistake," O'Reilly tweeted this week. "She won by outworking long time Democratic Congressman Joseph Crowley and seems to care more about people than power. A good thing for any politician."
O'Reilly, who was fired from Fox News in 2017 after sexual harassment complaints against him were reported, complimented Ocasio-Cortez's voter outreach but made clear he disagrees with her policy views, adding "socialism never works. Ask Venezuela."
Beck, who left Fox in 2011, echoed his former colleague's thoughts and expressed appreciation for Ocasio-Cortez's honesty.
"@Ocasio2018 seems genuine and honestly trying to do what she believes is right. I completely disagree with her solutions, but she is listening to her community. I would rather debate an open socialist than those who hide what they believe," Beck tweeted.
Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described democratic socialist and former organizer for Sen. Bernie Sanders's (I-Vt.) 2016 presidential campaign, embraced Beck's comments.
"Thank you, @glennbeck. We may disagree, but I sincerely appreciate the good faith," she tweeted.

Glen, who and The Leprechaun didnt hear the part about how Conservatives did give the young misguided Socialist kudos for working hard in her campaign. That doesnt discount the fact she is totally clueless. Those two schmoes need to just STHU.
She's not above criticism.
But people should remember that piling on can provoke a reaction.
Canada got Trudeau in part because Harper's people couldn't stop ridiculing and underestimating him
Triangulation by the usual couple of pr!cks.
Way to go, Ted, getting your name mentioned with nutcake Beck.
Zactly - and thinks he actually could. LMAO.
That ladder of logic from BillIdiot and BeckIdiot, seriously?
An already sh*thole country sliding further into socialist Venezuelan style sh*thole-ness.......
O’really: ‘I held Barack Hussein’s birth certificate in my hand’
I see both Glenny and Billy are still ignorant to the core.
Girls, even musim terrorists believe what they’re doing is right! So did Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. How about what is good and right and proper for the United States of America?
Still idiots - after all this time, still idiots.
Lil’ Becky can go fly a kit. He had an emotional breakdown and instead of dealing with it in a healthy manner, he polluted conservatism and profaned the name of Christ to cover for it.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is trying to do what she believes is right, just like:
- Hitler,
- Stalin,
- Mao,
- Pol Pot,
- Castro,
- Che,
- the East Germans,
- the North Koreans,
- the Czechoslovakian communists, and
- every other socialist in history who had the power to enforce what they believed was right.
Is believing your commands are right really a defense for forcing people to obey your orders and taking everything productive people have created to give it to those you deem worthy?
Something unusual for a dem/socialist?
So was Lenin and Adolph
This isn't an article on whether she or Hitler are/were wrong.....You ignored the point.
What is everyone talking about. This pretty little smiley face is nothing. She does not have a grasp of political reality.
Being sincerely wrong means zero to me.
Mr. O’Reilley, Mr. Beck, please see the coat check woman at the door to reclaim your penises when you are ready to leave.
So she outworked Crowley. Carol Moseley Braun outworked Sen. Alan Dixon, and how did that work out?
Next up...
Willard invites her to Utah to speak for him at a rally...
:)
“Glenn Beck, Bill OReilly defend Ocasio-Cortez: She’s ‘trying to do what she believes is right’”
What fools! I’m sure Lenin and Hitler and Mao were trying to do what they thought was right.
I’m sure stalin, lenin, mao, pol pot, sirhan sirhan, lee oswald, and John Wilkes Booth all thought they were doing the right thing too ... but obviously it matters not one whit whether one thinks they are doing the right thing, but whether one is actually doing the right thing
