A Rite-Aid store in California has come up with a creative way to repel loiterers: Barry Manilow music playing full blast.

The Oak Park neighborhood in San Diego has seen an uptick in crime and homeless people, according to The Wall Street Journal.

People sleeping in their cars and hanging around the parking lot have caused customers to complain to the management team.

"Mandy" was originally recorded and released by Scott English under the title "Brandy" in 1971. Under the original title, it sounds like a song to a bottle of distilled spirits.

What no constant looping of Minnie Riperton's "loving you"?

Research it, our good-guys used it to break the wackadoodles at club Gitmo, drove um bonkers...

They should crank up Lou Reed’s “Metal Machine Music” at 11. Works every time!

Isn’t Rite-Aid worried that Barry Manilow might discourage customers, too?

Music consisting of popular songs is often piped into markets like Trader Joe's and Sprout's and chain restaurants like the Black Bear Diner. But the songs are always hits from the 1950's into the 1980's. For some reason, they never play songs by Drake, XXXtentacion or Cardi B, who rule the charts in 2018.
