Bobcat sighted by bicycle riders as it perched on saguaro

BUCKEYE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -

A bobcat climbed to new heights Monday morning, as it was spotted perched on top of a large saguaro along a hiking trail in Buckeye.

Two bikers saw the cat while biking along the Verrado Lost Creek Trail around 8 a.m. Monday.

I’ve got Javalina’s and Feral Hog’s here on the ranch. Javalina’s get all my respect, they have a bad case of little man syndrome. I’ve got friends who hunt feral hogs with dog’s and two or three dogs can hold a big boar hog. One Javalina can not only whip all three of them but he’ll cut them to pieces in the process. Ranch hands pitbull jumped on a boar Javalina and it damn near killed him. That boar weighed less than 50 pounds.

I’ve seen them in the Palo Verde tree outside our kitchen window. I’d probably freak out if I saw one on top of the saguaros we have!
