Please sir, I want some more, is no longer a sentiment just for Oliver Twist in the orphanage. A new law in California limits how much water can be used by each household. Now their showers, how many flushes, and how often they can do their laundry will be under the watchful eye of the state government.
This from politicians who have pushed policies creating homeless and drug abuse crises throughout the state. They have now decided to clamp down on the use of the most basic needs of civilized living.
As the blog Zero Hedge put it, its now against the law to do laundry and shower on the same day in the Sunshine State, and theyre not exaggerating. Under the guise of addressing climate change, the new bill rations water to a degree that makes it impossible to maintain a healthy home environment.
Perhaps the state wants everyone to feel like the drug addicts living in Californias ever-expanding homeless tent cities?
Zero Hedge reported, Assembly Bill 1668 is where it gets personal. This establishes limits on indoor water usage for every person in California and the amount allowed will decrease even further over the next 12 years. The bill, until January 1, 2025, would establish 55 gallons per capita daily as the standard for indoor residential water use, beginning January 1, 2025, would establish the greater of 52.5 gallons per capita daily or a standard recommended by the department and the board as the standard for indoor residential water use, and beginning January 1, 2030, would establish the greater of 50 gallons per capita daily or a standard recommended by the department and the board as the standard for indoor residential water use

They don't have showers, but perhaps a sponge bath will work for you.
I don’t blame them, but sadly that’s what the crooked politicians who run the state want. They’ll be replaced with Democrat voting human debris from foreign countries.
Well, when I finally escape from behind enemy lines in Galifornia, it is my intention to vote a straight conservative ticket in my new home state. I was hoping my conservative vote would help save the Commonwealth of Virgina, but she has recently become a lost cause, soundly invaded and captured by liberals from NoVa and their immigrant counterparts. Now I am looking to help save a state like Tennessee, which does not need saving now but it might someday.
Yes, you are missing something. You are missing the fact that liberals dont use logic or reason.
Building desalination plants with the money being wasted on a failed, useless bullet train with runaway costs and a slipping schedule, requires the logical reasoning inherentbto conservatives. Our California commie liberal oppressos lack the capacitie of logic and reason. To them, feelings are all that matter and they FEEL that a moronic bullet train will save the environment by eliminating cars.
You cant think like a conservative when you watch what California politicians do. You have to think, “how would a kindrgarten child or a young Hollywood starlet FEEL anout this.” That helps you understand how Jerry Brown and his Spetznaz horde rule over the California gulag.
I cannot wait to escape from this communist hell hole and humorously watch California collapse from afar. Cue the popcorn popper. After 60 years living here, I am going to have the best time watching California crash and burn. Lol.
I would not say California has “ample” water. Since the 1960s, surface we have added 10% more water storage but population has gwn 130%. So populatin way more than doubled but we have added a tiny fraction to the water supply while draining groundwater. No, water is not close to “ample” for all the farm, industrial, and residential needs for California’s almost 40 million people. Not to mention the 5 million illegal aliens not being counted or the 250 million tourists who visit each year. The California water supply is not even close to ample.
From what I read on earlier posts here on FR the law carves out exemptions for people who have pools, hot tubs, etc...
They will just ignore the law for celebrities and the wealthy in regards to their lawns and landscaping.
