President Donald Trump has endorsed John Cox for CA Governor. Lots of other races up for grabs.
Pray for California.
Btw, it’s not just the candidates that are up for a vote. There are also numerous important propositions at stake. And the outcome of these proportions are like reading the tea leaves in regards to the mood/attitude and direction where things are going in CA.
Los Angeles county- 3 voters at the same adress- Been voting for 20 + years at the same polling place-2 registered Repubs , 1 Independent- All three voters were not on the list, and had to turn in provisional ballots.
What do they all have in common? They voted for president Trump in the last election .
Person running the polling place said many people were having this problem. There were many names on the list. FYI.
If Cox aces out Villaraigosa, it's Newsom and Cox. I think if that happens it going to fire up a patriotic undercurrent in November, knowing they at least have a shot at it.
If that don't happen in today's election, ferrget it.
Even the person running the polling place had to use a provisional ballot.
Wow, I did also but didn't catch that. Michael Bloomberg chipped in for Allen too. Those dirty rats!
Eight poll workers, 6 D's and 2 R's. Both R's were at the machine you fed your ballet into.
The 6 D's were verifying ID and address. We have voter ID here. A lady came in at the same time as me, but went to the table next to mine. She walked up, flashed her voters registration card and drivers license, and had her ballot and headed towards the little booths in what had to be 15 seconds. The voter was Hispanic, if that matters.
I walk up and hand the lady my voters registration card and drivers license. She takes the VR card and starts commenting on how old it is. Types in some info. Says she doesn't know why I don't have a new one. Types some more. Asks me to spell my last name (which is perfectly clear on the card and ID I just gave her). More typing. She then asks me to confirm my address. I say it out loud, even though both ID's have it on them. More typing. Starts talking about the weather. Asks me to spell my name again. More typing. Asks how many voters reside at my residence. More typing. Finally she smiles, chuckles a bit, and hands me the printed ballot and proceeds to spend another minute explaining to me how to bubble in the little circles.
It felt like she was intentionally trying to draw out the process for as long as possible.
After I voted I was waiting for my wife to finish and I noticed that, like me, some people were taking forever to check in and others were just flying through the process.
Wanna bet which were Republicans and which were Democrats?
Bump.
I should add to my previous posts that all 3 votes were for Cox. I wonder if they will be counted because they are all provisional ballots?
Yes the ballot stubs/receipt were already seperated from the ballot.
I thought that was weird, and not happy about it.
I agree. We’re running out of time and options here.
I live in Orange County and voted no on all the propositions.
Voted for Cox for Governor as a strategic move. I like Allen better but Cox is way ahead in the polls and has the backing of the Howard Jarvis group and President Trump.
Our votes were very similar to yours. Two votes for Cox in our household.
I usually use Tom McClintock as my weathervane on props. He said no on the first 3 and then yes yes.
Smart voting by you, following Reagan’s voting method.
You and I have the same ballot!
“I didnt vote for Cox. He is a huge RINO. I opted for Travis Allen”
Well I do like Allen, but with Cox pulling ahead I had to vote for to ensure Tony V didn’t come in second. Besides Califrinians are pussies. Allen would have gotten crushed by Newsome because he is too brash for the softies in this state. Cox ran on the Trump so I gave him a shot.
But one thing is for sure: Ehether it is Cox or Allen, we know Gloria Allred is waiting in the wings with hired female accusers.
Yes and I am 30 so please do not suggest raising voting age! :)
“Yes and I am 30”
Sadly you are in the vast minority of people in your age group. Yes there are young people that are smart an know socialism sucks. But not a whole lot. Raise the voting age to 35 it will be a lot hard for Democrats to win a lot of elections
BTW, I know raising the voting to age to 35 will never happen.
The smart young ones are silent but there are way more than you think.
And more diverse than we realize. In my circle of friends most from “white” families tend to be liberal-leaning and those from immigrant families (Armenian, Korean, you name it) have conservative instincts.
