Addition to your owl post, this may have been noted when we looked at owls before but owls are among the birds listed in Leviticus as an abomination and detestable. This concerns dietary law but the adjectives seem to go well with Q’s idea of owl symbolism or groups.

Interesting. I imagine it’s because they are predators. There is a saying “never eat the liver of a predator” because they (we) store all the toxins of their prey in the liver. I’m not sure how many predators were permissible to eat, but I doubt many.
