Benedict Cumberbatch is reported to have saved a cyclist who was being attacked.
The actor, who plays Sherlock Holmes in the hit BBC series, is said to have rescued a Deliveroo rider who was being beaten up by a group of four people, it emerged on Friday night.
The Sun said Cumberbatch was in a cab on Marylebone High Street in central London with his wife, Sophie Hunter, when they saw the cyclist being hit over the head with a bottle.
The driver of the car, Manuel Dias, told the newspaper: “Benedict was courageous, brave and selfless. If he hadn’t stepped in, the cyclist could have been seriously injured. Here was Sherlock Holmes fighting off four attackers just round the corner from Baker Street.

The Webley-Fosbery was a favorite of British officers (who had to buy their sidearms) until the mud of the WWI trenches spotlighted the limitations of the design.
Reminds me of a bit by a comic (I don’t remember which one) of how as a kid he was watching some actor on TV and his dad said “He’s gay!”. He grew up thinking he was gay, and told people he was. Years later he told one of his friends, and his friend told him he isn’t he has a wife and kids. He asked his dad why he told him that, his dad said “I don’t know, he seems gay”.

With arms outlawed in England, where have all those gangs of three and four armed hoodlums gone to? I would think that it should be quite easy to see a three or four armed guy walking around and catch him on the spot. Just curious.
