Well, the stats I was referring to don’t include animals. There are some that have a very high prey drive with other animals, and there are others that do fine. There are many dogs that do fine with people/kids but don’t like other dogs. There was a lady on YouTube that had one for years (he has since passed of cancer) who was gentle with all of the animals on her farm and her newborn. It was more gentle than any of my dogs - and I’ve mostly had small dogs. Video of him:

I’m sorry to hear that about your Sheltie, though. I’m glad she was not killed. It sounds like there are a lot of pit bulls in your area. I don’t see many in mine with the exception of having neighbors that kept a couple of them, but they were crated a lot.
I did see a video of a guy who used this particular bear spray on a pit bull that came near his cat. It was effective. It didn’t hurt the dog permanently, but it sent it home.

Clearly you missed the point of my post. Maybe because its late and you are tired? Try reading it again tomorrow.
I’ll support that idea.
Death to all pit bulls. Throw them all in a ring and put wagers on which one will last the longest.
Any badly bred or abused dog, or even a well-raised one, can lash out and bite. But very few breeds have the jaws, the bite strength and the neck muscles of a pit bull - when these dogs flip out, they can do far more damage than a golden retriever having a bad day.
Lol - so true. I’m not a dog owner, but the people I know who are, are DEFINITELY the ones doing the serving. Life revolves around Mr. Doggie - they can’t even stay out for long because of their “servant’s” needs.
” . . . When a man, woman, child, pet is attacked by a pit bull, a switch was turned on in their brain. Once activated, it will attack with all of its genetic qualities created for killing by the dog fight industry. To reverse this genetic predisposition, any pit bull that bites anything must be eliminated. Perhaps a baby dog and the stick would identify the ones for neutering. “
+++++++++++++++++++
Perhaps it would.
Those vile dogs are silent and do not growl or show aggression when they attack. They will just run up to you and start the attack.
I always carry a full-sized 45ACP on my person. If a Pit Bull starts coming toward me I will immediately kill it before it reaches me. They are too dangerous. Also, if the owner is with the dog and it leaves him/her to get to me, once I am finished with the dog I will cover the owner as I have read many of their posts, including here on FR, that they would kill whomever protected themselves from their precious Fido.
Q: What is dogfighting and why are pit bulls connected to it?
Pit bulls are the dog of choice amongst dogmen, individuals who fight their pit bulls against other pit bulls. Dogmen consider pit bull terriers, who they commonly call “100% bulldogs,” to be the ultimate canine gladiator. Pit bulls were selectively bred for “gameness,” the ability to finish a fight. A truly gamedog will continue fighting “on stumps,” two or more broken legs, and far worse.6 (Please see excerpts from The Complete Gamedog, by Ed and Chris Faron to learn more).
The blood sport of dogfighting involves a contest between two dogs, primarily pit bulls, fighting each other in front of spectators for entertainment and gambling purposes. Other felonious activities, such as illegal drugs, often accompany dogfight matches. A single dogfight averages about an hour in length but can last two or more.7 A dogfight begins when a referee says, “Face your dogs,” then says, “Let go.” The fight ends when one of the dogs will not or cannot continue.
The arrest and conviction of Michael Vick shows that dogfighting still proliferates in the U.S. Law enforcement education, however, is on the rise. In 2008, Edward Faron of Wildside Kennels, known as the “godfather” of dogfighting, was arrested and charged. Faron pleaded guilty to 14 counts of felony dogfighting.8 In 2009, authorities unleashed an 8-state simultaneous dogfighting sting and seized over 450 dogs.9 In 2013, a string of at least six major raids occurred as well.10

Thank you. Unsure if this is true, but very interesting.

Q: What is the history of the pit bull?
The blood sport of “bull baiting” began over 1,000 years ago in England (various sources dispute this date). What is undisputed is that by 1500, bull baiting had progressed to Britain’s national pastime. Bulldogs were reportedly first mentioned by name in 1631, referring to their function rather than a distinct dog breed. By 1800, and through further selective breeding, the bulldog developed into a compact muscular dog characterized by tremendous jaw strength.4
Due to public outrage, bull baiting was banned in England in 1835. Bulldog breeders and owners then moved to the sport of “ratting,” where a number of rats were placed into a pit and wagers were made on how many rats the dog could kill in a certain time period. To increase agility, quickness and prey-drive in the bulldog, ratters crossed the breed with terriers. Essentially, it was the sport of ratting that combined the bulldog and terrier into the modern day pit bull terrier.
On the heels of ratting, dogfighting developed. Pit bulls and dogfighting were exported to America as settlers made their way to the New World. In 1884, the American Kennel Club was formed but rejected pit bulls due to their use in dogfighting. In response, Chauncey Z. Bennett formed the United Kennel Club in 1898 to bring formal recognition to the pit bull breed. At that time, Bennett also drew up rules and regulations for dogfighting to bring “organization” to the blood sport.

Record 32,550 pit bulls killed or badly injured other animals in the U.S. in 2016

Pit bulls are not a that large....100 is a very big one
Those are mixes
The standard is fifty to seventy
American bullies which look like gator mouth short legged pit bulls and favored by rap stars can be over 100 pounds are fairly harmless as they have no wind at all
I do not fight dogs and I do not not like it as a gambling sport however being in semit rural tennessee and knowing folks from all over my south land Im familiar with folks who do fight pits and catahoulas and American bulldogs and dogos
A fighting pit would be no more than 60 pounds and rangey and of course very quick to hit another balls on male dog....I mean they just strike..bam
I have watched all mannner of dogs fight outside all my life especially before leash laws and thats one thing although that too can be queasy but dog fighting for sport is just terrible to me whereas roosters I could give a rip...stupid birds ...you cant stop roosters from doing what that corn kernel brain commands..sides you eat em
What I hate about dog fighting besides wounding your buddy so you can profit maybe or pump your stupid ego is if he fails and lives they usually kill them and not always humanely
Pit bulls pound for pound are dangerous to other dogs and they kill humans cause there are so many but Ive broken up many a pit bull lock and I can testify Id rather have a pit on my calf than a 150 pound Rott or 105 pound Dobie lunging up high like a bushmaster strike to bring me down to their level...not only that but they are smart enough to disengage and then move up the body for more serious territory whereas pits just lock on.....if youre ever hit on the leg by one just endure the pain and hope someone can pop it off or of course use a weapon but like when killing the king make sure you finish it
My daughters father in law raises and trains Malnois...another smart badass lightweight attacker....and he also raises pits and takes in rehab pits....he has a pry tool and a cattle prod
Ive owned everything freepers hate in dogs in my 60 solar orbits
Alsatians
Giant Schnauzer
Pits
Rotts
Dobies
American bulldogs both Southern Scott style and Pure Johnsons straight from Doc Johnsons daughter in Summerville Ga
Ive got two uncut male Rotts by my bed as I type ....18 months old 105 pounds each
Their granddaddy was best dog I ever had killed by a human in a car who didnt stop..maybe I should killed that person right via freeper logic....cars kill a lot more dogs than pits kill humans
Pits kill for many reason not least of which is there are so damn many of them or dogs called pits for being mutt terriers
I also have a three month old brindle old southern bulldog in the den sleeping on the sofa with my 11 year old baby boy
That dog is my new truck dog and one day security detail
A 115-125 pound old southern American bulldog is our version of the famed Dogo..catch and boar and bear dogs...
Fearless but intelligent unlike most bulldogs which Ive found dull to be honest
That black one of my homepage was his daddy originally from Konfederate kennels in South Georgia but he went to stud in France and I ended up with his last male pup before he died ...Bedford I hence Bedford II
Grandpa was 12 Guage from Konfederate kennels and likely the most impressive black Scott type American bulldog ever lived....toughest most intimidating dog Ive ever seen personally and my brindle has those same Smokey eyes and stars right at you...takes to that front seat of my truck like nothing
Some of us like these dogs especially southerners....dont threaten to kill my dog
Thats rhetorical
Eastern Europe btw has some breeds that frankly would have many a freepers pissing in their knickers and reaching for their steel courage
YouTube is full of kangol versus wolf and not to mention those Caucasian mountain dogs that look like bears or those weird named South African dogs
And Dogos.....the now oft maligned Dogo
Pound for pound the worlds toughest dog in my opinion
One thing Argentina does right besides the Fitzroy range, women and dove hunting
I read it fine. I think you missed the point of mine.
This is fascinating. It reads as something else that blackamoors and MS-13 can be thanked for.
