My husband Dave is in the hospital. Seems the area of his artificial hip has developed an infection, which today's aspiration biopsy revealed to be the result of Gram-positive bacteria. The plan now is for him to be transferred from our small town hospital to a large hospital in Baltimore, where he will receive IV antibiotics and undergo a replacement of the infected hardware.
We’re going to keep your hub in prayer with faith that he has a great medical team.
You are very welcome.
Thank you for the update. Sorry about the pneumonia, Bigg Red. I guess he feels lousy right now, but relieved to hear he is in Sanai. Certainly hope youre okay, and able to sleep comfortably. We all want the best for you both. Prayers for Dave and for you.
Oh, more prayers for your dear husband!
Another update:
Operation is Thursday afternoon.
Prayers continue.
I’ll be praying! <3 God bless you both.
Prayers that the Good Lord will lead and guide the medical team. Stay strong BR.
Good news! The doctor says that all went well. The operation took about 4 hours. I won’t be able to see him for about 40 more minutes.
Thank you, Jesus, for guiding the surgeon’s hands and mind.
And thank you, FReeper Prayer Warriors.
Thanks for the good news. Waiting in the surgical waiting room is tough. Been there. Hope the pneumonia is under control, and the surgical healing is easy on Dave. Stay strong — both for him and yourself. Prayers continue -— and thanks for the update!!
May your husband continue to improve and and enjoy a full recovery. :-)
I will pray for your husband!
God bless you for asking!
Richard
