If all goes well, a young Han Solo and his band of outcasts will take out Captain Jack Sparrow and set a new Memorial Day weekend record at the box office.
Disney and Lucasfilm's spinoff Solo: A Star Wars Story is tracking to open to $130 million to $150 million over the long holiday weekend, with $130 million being on the low end of expectations. To date, the Memorial Day weekend record-holder for the top domestic launch is 2007's Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End with $139.8 million, not adjusted for inflation.

I think I’m the only one so far to catch an interesting Easter egg. In one of the films C-3PO comments that the falcon has a unique way of communicating. Won’t give any spoilers away, but now we know why.

Sure, a movie is a movie. As a writer, myself, however I love good characters. I love Sherlock Holmes, Rocky Balboa, heck even Felix Salten’s Bambi! I just really enjoy truly good characters. Han and Chewie fall into that category for me.
Too bad. I think that negative projections before the movie came out are keeping people away. This is why I never saw The Last Jedi. Hopefully, it will get a delayed boost as people who have seen it gush a little.
