Politicizeveverything
For Progressives, everything is political and part of The Struggle. Everything.
Star Wars is dead. Killed by the Left. Under no circumstances will I watch another one.
Leftists destroy EVERYTHING.
See my new tag line.
It has EVERYTHING to do with Star Wars. George Lucas wrote Star Wars as an anti-American space fantasy. The Empire was the standin for the US, and the Rebel Alliance was his space Viet Cong. Lucas has admitted this many times in the past two decades. He didn’t tell people at first because he didn’t want to stop the flow of money. So he let us think it was a good old fashioned story about good and evil. Lucas always hated that angle. He’s a cultural Marxist to the core.
Give up Hollywood. You’re giving money and power to people that hate your guts.
BTW, lest you think I exagerate about the anti-US angle, see Lucas’ own words:
“Back in a 1973 note on Star Wars, Lucas made clear which side he was rooting for in the Vietnam War: A large technological empire going after a small group of freedom fighters.

The Last Jedi was the last straw for me. This is the first movie I will be missing entirely regardless of how good or bad it isl. The Last Jedi killed whatever spirit had been in the franchise.l. My FR nickname is from the first movie in 1977. I had slowly been distancing myself up until The Last Jedi to the point I went to the movies in theatre and that was it but now it is a complete break and I no longer care about the galaxy far far away.
Lucas put in subtle things like naming a villain “Nute Gunray” but nothing to this degree.
Everything is fair game for left fringe politics 24/7/365 like we die hard NFL fans learned these last couple of years.
Yep - no boycotts, just a clean break. The Last Jedi damaged the storyline to the point of being irreconcilable unless they wanted to make it somehow be a “dream” in Episode IX, which obviously isn’t going to happen.
The Last Jedi was an evisceration of the mythology that engaged fans with the original three movies.
Star Wars should’ve stopped after Return of the Jedi. The Force Awakens killed it for me...
I certainly agree especially with The Last Jedi...Force Awakens was generic and could have been expanded upon - Last Jedi trashed the few good things in Force Awakens along with everything else. It was totally incoherent like the Rian Johnson didn’t bother watching any of the previous films - the storyline of which he was supposed to be directly continuing.
The celebration scene at the end of ROTJ should have been the end of it...especially since they chose to make no connection to the previous films.
Good thing I never saw any episode except the first.
Yep, an evisceration, and done flippantly.
But Rogue One was basically a war movie, and a pretty good one. The last few scenea, which tie the movie into the original Star Wars, were fantastic.
The producers and directors despise their own fans. Jar Jar Abrams said they hate women, I guess because they don’t like it that Luke Skywalker is now a defeated, sniveling coward. What men are supposed to be, I guess. And moral relativity means the dark side is now just “another side”. What’s the whole struggle about? Nothing, really.
