Speculation does not ever make something a fact. Some things are changed for different reasons. Unpredictability is a great ally to a sitting president. Its best not to know why things are done. Too many people share things they should not.

Someone mentioned yesterday 7 FF. Don’t know who was seeing the future.
It’s possible the trip to Camp David was to give our Lady, Malania a place to recoup. When it was determined she needed to stay it was changed. OR they are purposely making her location a mystery to protect her from a threat. That’s what I’d do if writing a novel. (Goes right along with the above 7.)

The Trump administration has withdrawn all assistance from Northwest Syria, according to administration officials. This is the newest demonstration of the administration's intent to briskly exit the country once ISIS is fully defeated. The decision, made through an inter-agency process over the last few weeks, will mean that tens of millions of dollars will be cut off from previous U.S.-backed efforts to strengthen and stabilize the local society. Projects included countering violent extremism, supporting independent society and independent media, strengthening education, and advocating for community policing. The region will become the first area of the country where, other than humanitarian aid, the U.S. is officially disengaging.

Trump freezes $200 million in funds earmarked for Syria recovery

After President Trump's request to review all U.S. assistance to Syria, administration officials were tasked with looking at where the U.S. could save money and, in short, get more bang for their buck in the country. The U.S. assistance in the northwestern region is viewed as not having a great impact on Syria in the long-term. Some of the money that has been cut from the northwest is being reprogrammed, those decisions are ongoing.

The administration intends to narrow its focus onto the fight against ISIS and has recently halted funding to groups like the White Helmets, a famed rescue and civilian assistance operation in Syria. ISIS has been cleared from 95 percent of the territory it once occupied, but is clinging on to its last strongholds. Last month, when Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis was asked about withdrawing from Syria, he said there would be a "re-energized" fight in the Middle Euphrates River Valley against ISIS. Mattis did not say what would happen after that fight had concluded.

A State Department official told CBS News, "$200 million of stabilization assistance for Syria is currently under review at the request of the President. Distinct from that amount, U.S. assistance for programs in northwest Syria are being freed up to provide potential increased support for priorities in northeast Syria, as will be determined by the outcome of the ongoing assistance review, including the D-ISIS campaign and stabilization efforts."

Yes, I've felt all along..once the actions from our President becomes apparent to these Syrians..they will see he's not part of the old Deep State. It takes ACTION for this to happened. Here's a map of the mess in Syria..Looks like they have to make out who's where fighting whom.

Those are good points. I definitely do not have all the answers.

I welcome all posts that argue with my points politely and intelligently (like yours did).

I am still trying to fit all the facts I know into a cohesive whole.

Here is my speculation on the points you raise. I’m not trying to be an apologist for my point of view. I am only offering possible theories that would still fit it.

1. Manafort raid. Agree with your assessment that it was a Gestapo tactic. Could Manafort have been in on it? Was it theater for some purpose? Or could Manafort have been a much greater danger than we imagined which necessitated the extreme tactics of the raid? Could it have been done by the Deep State in order to make Trump/Mueller look bad? Remember that Trump does not have full control of all operatives at all agencies. (My top guesses are theater or DS action.)

2. 302s/Flynn. I think Flynn has been a good guy all along. The fact that Mueller had to have known about the 302s and still charged him are, to me, evidence that Mueller is a white hat or at worst a leveraged black hat and is playing a part in this operation. The point was to make Flynn look bad publicly (or more precisely to make the DS think that Flynn was not a threat to them). I believe that Flynn “knows where the bodies are buried” and has been working with the Trump team all along. By sidelining him, it appears that he has been neutralized as a threat to the DS. What has he been doing all these months?

3. “Couldn’t he have hired them without doing all of the above?” Good question. I think it was part of the ruse. The DS needed to be lulled into a false sense of security where they thought they were still in control. If they thought they were all about to be arrested immediately, they could have fled, they could have struck back, etc. I have concerns that the DS has the power to conduct FF ops like yesterday’s shooting events. But my greater concern is that they have access to far more deadly retaliation than that and would not hesitate to use it if cornered. In addition, I believe that much of this was necessary to flush out exactly who was on which side.

Those are just my guesses - trying to make everything fit together into consistent narrative. Admittedly, it’s the narrative *I* favor and one that points to a positive outcome for the good guys in the end. So definitely I’m biased.

I’d look forward to hearing from you if you think some or all do not make sense.
