Truthfully, I heard “Yanny” on FoxNews on my television, but I heard “Laurel” on FoxNews on XM in my truck.

They showed this on the local TV news last night.
At first I had no idea what they were talking about. When I finally understood, it seemed impossible to me that anyone heard anything other than Laurel.
All of the ones on TV also heard Laurel. Apparently a significant number do hear Yanny tho.

I hear “Laurel”.
Obviously their must be a difference in reception between L and Y listeners. Brain waves?

What does it mean when you hear both Yanny AND Laurel?

I’m starting to think it’s a hoax. I played it on this same computer yesterday and it was a hi-pitched voice saying “yanny”. Today it’s a low-pitched voice saying “laurel”.

The first time I listened I heard Yanny.
I listened a second time to see if I could possibly hear Laurel.
I clearly heard Laurel in a deeper voice than the first listen. To my ear, I cannot head Yanny no matter how I might try.
