The Twitter account representing the Israeli Defense Forces, @IDFSpokesperson, posted a stunning video of an Israeli missile descending towards an SA22 Greyhound short range air defense system. According to Military Today, the SA22 is capable of shooting down cruise missiles and guided bombs.
This one wasn't.

Looks like there were four or five guys in the immediate vicinity of the target.
In that video, you can the (probably) SA-22’s crew standing around, waiting for something to happen, or having a smoke break, just left of the target.
Looked like someone ran toward it
A little off topic, but does anyone know which make and model of rockets were fired from Syria at Israel?
The IAF has all the standard US made air-to-surface missiles plus a domestically produced missile called the Delilah. The Delilah is interesting in that it can loiter over an area feeding intel to a weapons control officer until the officer identifies a target and redirects the missile.
It would appear that the SA22 system is pretty vulnerable when its crew are out enjoying a cigarette break.

awww jeeet! hoo wush wucheeng far eenbownds????
I wonder how much spash damage they took.
Jerusalem Post has IDF people saying Iran used their crappy missiles so probably their copies of the Soviet SCUD.
Sure hope that guy who ran over to it at the last moment had a darn good reason.
The Tomahawk Block IV can do that. An SSGN can sit off shore and launch a salvo that will loiter while waiting for the SEAL team to pick targets for them to attack.
Isn’t a video, at least on the link I went. It’s a still picture and 2 1/2 minutes of voiceover.
Drop packages of cigarettes and goat porn magazines.
nevermind. Found it. Looks like the truck was positioned wrong or the missile came in from behind.
I wonder what the guy running back to the truck was thinking? What was he going to do?
