Don’t forget that the IG report is due out ~soon.. and the best play on the board would be if as soon as Huber completed and presented his report, Sessions would immediately appoint him as special counsel and start proceedings immediately.
Sigh.
Huber can't be a SC. SC must come from outside the government. Read the regulations.
But so what if he can't be SC. He can indict from where he sits, or supervise the prosecutors who are indicting. No need for a SC except to satisfy the lunkheads in Congress.

Ahh bitt, I don’t think re-appointing Huber is necessary. IIRC He has retained his prosecutorial powers as a US Attorney in Utah and all of his indictments would be prosecuted there. Where, I might add, there is still capital punishment. The one point I’m not sure of is his needing to appoint a Grand Jury first.
