Michelle Wolf's Act was a Setup to Frame the White House(Epic Fail)
Vaniy | 5/1/2018 | Self

Michelle Wolf's act at the Correspondents dinner was a setup to frame the White House. With any kind of reaction by them, the correspondents would have savaged Trump and the White House staff.

Why do I believe this. Ask yourself just why Kathy Griffen was there (yes the one who did the bloody Trump head thing) and look at Kathy's comments afterwards.

Unfortunately for them and the hopeful correspondents, it Bombed, just as Trump tweeted.

Just when you thought the mainstream media couldn't get any lower

Exactly right and one reason I do not any longer read the rags stilling hanging onto the tit of NY.

A complete Republican boycott would be ideal.
*******************
What’s to lose? Nadda. Boycott it...it is a sham and disgusting. Our Sarah and Kelly should not have been the front “men”...they have manners and both are mothers...ah, maybe that is the problem. Are the liberals breeding at all or do they all use Planned Parenthood?

‘Had Sanders or Conway attended before? Probably good for them to experience the kind of mindless hate and bullying personally directed to their faces for which Big Media is especially proficient and proud.’

The public verbal abuse of conservative women is nothing new. But some believe that it’s good for conservative women to be passive punching bags? Because...why? They hadn’t been verbally abused enough prior to the nerd prom? So, having been under-abused, a fresh round of vicious, raunchy abuse was just what the doctor ordered?

Anybody who believes that hasn’t been paying attention. Sanders and Conway are the ongoing targets of never-ending leftist hatred, smears and slanders. Having even more stinking crap dumped on them didn’t do either of them any good.

Excellent point. Liberals despise conservative mothers. Small wonder the ‘comedian,’ worked in an abortiin, ‘joke.’ She had a leftist dream scenario: the opportunity to publicly humiliate conservative women who were not allowed to answer back.

Republican women should be seen but not heard, after all.

Our Sarah and Kelly should not have been the front “men”.

Ever think that is why Trump did it? Knowing that they couldn't resist the temptation to Savage them.

In fact, I believe Trump may have had them coached not to react knowing what was going to happen.

I think Sarah looked beautiful. I loved her hair and her dress. She also displayed class and grace under pressure, something these odious people would never understand.

BTw - I haven't seen her Dad on any of the news shows. Could it be that he is still so furious that he wouldn't be able to restrain himself?

Thing is ... Wolf didn’t “go after people in power”, she went after a straw man. The “jokes” had absolutely nothing to do with the people they were intended to “roast”. It’s delusional to believe that the Trump administration has any resemblance to the Leftist fantasy dystopia which is The Handmaid’s Tale - but since Trump et al are the designated opposition (shown by the fact that the Left refuses to work _with_ Trump on _anything_ no matter how Left-benefitting it may be), and a particular popular story enthralls the current Leftist notion of evil, then Leftists proceed to impute their favorite hobgoblins upon their designated opponents leading to the kind of vitriolic screed seen at that dinner. That the targets of the vitriol cringed as they did only served to signal (wrongly) that the accusations applied where they didn’t; alas, there is no good way to express in English “what you have accused me of has no basis in reality” in a way which engages those so delusional and those applauding the attack.

You're so very right. What do you think could be a solution to this constant abuse of the "conservative women"? It must end.

Somehow, I think more Americans than some of us know may be aware of this perpetual abuse. That awareness is a good thing.

"I read some woman ‘journalist,’ (or editor; who cares) from WaPo, iirc, who praised Sanders for just sitting there and taking it. Instantly I knew something was wrong. This same feminist would have had a stroke if a conservative talked that way about a leftist. But conservative women ARE punching bags in the eyes of feminists so of course Sanders was expected to simply sit there and absorb the punishment."

_____________

You are so very right again.

For conservative women to be applauded by the left for sitting quietly and taking abuse sickens me.

"Sincere question. When somebody goes that far over the line, what is classy about being a willing punching bag/doormat? Maybe I’ve got it all wrong, but I see a great advantage in publicly stating—by actions not words—I’m not here to be smeared and slandered; adios loser."

Yes.

To me the most disgusting thing Michelle Wolf said was that people "shouldn't knock abortion until they try it."

How perfectly gross ...... and unnecessary at that "journalism" dinner.

Kathy Griffen Tweet:
Comics by their nature are anti-establishment. They are charged with the often unenviable task of going after people in power.
This was a meeting of journalists, and journalists are cynical about society and promote naive faith in government. The reality is that Associated Press journalists (employees of members of the AP or employees of the AP) are constantly in cahoots in deciding the only real question in their business: "What is the news?” The AP “wire” is a continuous virtual meeting among them, and
People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices. It is impossible indeed to prevent such meetings, by any law which either could be executed, or would be consistent with liberty and justice. But though the law cannot hinder people of the same trade from sometimes assembling together, it ought to do nothing to facilitate such assemblies; much less to render them necessary. - Adam Smith, Wealth of Nations (1776)
predicts exactly what we observe. The decisions as to what is important to say - and what is important not to say - are made jointly, and have the effect of projecting cynicism towards society. And that cynicism includes the implication that more government control of society (less freedom) is essential.

So she didn't call them out by name? Oh Yes She did. She called Sarah an Uncle Tom and that she betrayed all women. She did it with Kellyanne too.

Roasting people has to be done in a joke. There is CLEARLY NO JOKE HERE.

You miss my point. She used them as arbitrary subjects for insults unrelated to them. That’s not “going after them”, that’s designating a target simply to increase shock value for crass insults. “Going after” would be identifying an actual aspect of the target and developing a criticism (humorous or not) of that; here, the targets were being accused of holding views which they simply do not hold.

There’s nothing in law that mandates a White House Press Corps, or even press briefings. So... shut ‘em down. Take away their little hidey-hole and turn it into a chapel or something. Break up the pack. Let them hang out at a local Starbucks or something. There’s strength and a gang mentality in numbers; make that number smaller.
