Haha! It works the other way around, too.
Most of the people at my church are uber-liberal. They are SHOCKED to find out I’m a conservative. (But you’re so nice! You do so much for the church/poor/minorities!) They think they have a market on charity, but what I have noticed is that they vote to make OTHER people pay and then pat themselves on the back for being charitable. They want to manage OTHER people doing the grunt work and then pat themselves on the back for “pitching in”.
Totally agree about Kennedy kid! I kind of felt sorry for him. He seemed to be in way over his head. Maybe he was a sacrificial lamb for the left. They had to know it was a losing proposition to rebut the SOTU!
Maybe using Kennedy kid was sending a message to POTUS - let’s make a deal or we will JFK you.
