McDonalds-- Black teenager runs into McDonalds with a letter from a college he applied to and hands it to the manager. The manager gathers the whole staff around as he opens and reads it (can the applicant not read?), leaving the cars in the drive through waiting for their burgers and fries. Everyone waits in suspense as he opens it and they find out he is accepted and everyone cheers. But what if he's rejected, and totally humiliated in front of the whole staff?
So what ads irritate you?
It's rude, not advertising.
Most commercials drive me nuts but lately it is the LIBERTY MUTUAL commercials that have me grabbing the remote.
Yarghh!!!
This IS NOT BECAUSE I HAVE SOME KIND OF PROBLEM WITH THE DISABLED but..
The Shriners commercials with Alec the wonder kid man oh man oh man I can’t tell you the number of times I almost shoed my tv...
And the various wounded veterans beg-a-thons, man how many places do we have to have ANOTHER save-the-vet commercial?
The Shriner’s commercial offering the “adorable blanket”.
Shriners.
That kid must be 40 by now.
The only person that I hate more than Flo is Jamie.
Jamie’s radio commercials make me want to... Never mind.
Those stupid Nerd Wallet “Uhhh” commercials. Just hearing them say it, I switch the channel.
i pre-record everything and skip commercials ... except a very few of the clever and funny ones ... most commercials are dumber than dirt, but a few are genuinely attention-getting ...
I wonder why so many companies advertise with mixed race couples now. I would think they would not want controversial ads. I know we don’t buy anything advertised like that. I would go out tomorrow and get a home security system if that company would advertise a black home invader in their piece.
The party in the bar where everyone is a captain. Yeah, shut the helicopter down and go out for drinks in your flight suit WITH YOUR FLIGHT HELMET STILL ON.
I would like to see both Flo from Progressive and Paul from Sprint hung or shot on live tv. Does that say something bad about me?
That’s what Netflix is for....
My Pillow
Any Honda feel good ad
That informercial with all the knives for 250 bucks
Sofa King is hilarious
The one where the young women are wondering if they forgot to take their pill. Shows how low our culture has become.
Since the introduction of what we call the clacker my tv does not get commercials. The big problem is that the stations are in “collusion” with each other and the commercials are all run at the same time. We call it a conspiracy. But I keep changing any way and it drives my wife nuts. But she has learned to live with it.
Choice Hotels: Badda Book Badda Boom
Who has a structured settlement but needs cash NOW!?
The VW one now being shown during the hockey playoffs. They play Joe Cocker at Woodstock singing the drug anthem “with a little help from my friends”. This is lauded and applauded in this modern culture. But a pro-life or NRA ad is decried.
It shows how far we have fallen.
