Bostic, Baker.
Oh, he was just immature. Boys will be boys....
Hes turned his life around and become an accomplished rapper.
...Two months ago, the judge who sentenced Bostic said she regretted it. Former St. Louis Circuit Judge Evelyn Baker sentenced Bostic in 1997. But in February, she said in an op-ed that she deeply regretted punishing Bostic for his immaturity, and asked the U.S. Supreme Court to give him the chance for reform that she never did....

This now pathetic awoke judge clearly now lacks the temperament to be a judge. If shes still on the bench, she should retire and take up social work.
Just that brief description of the crimes the kid committed tells me all we need to know about him. He would have been back in prison for life at some point anyway. He tried to kill somebody. I am glad that evil is locked away for life. There is no mention of what this guy has done in prison to prove any change to his character or disposition.
Said accomplice will be up for parole at age 33 or thereabouts. Bostic, 112. Shoulda taken the deal.
Should have taken the deal, he’d be out soon if not already.

The oldest person in the world just passed at age 117.
So this guy can get 5 good years if he is careful and eats his Dannon.
Armed robbery where he actually shot to kill (save for the heavy outer clothing) is cast off as "immaturity"?

Now he be fittin tegit mo duh same til he be ded.
At 16 I wasn't the brightest bulb on the tree and I *certainly* wasn't particularly mature (or aware).
Back in 1973 my brother and I were walking to the Cheltenham Mall in Philadelphia to do Christmas shopping. I was about 13 and he was 15. When we got home his side was sore. His ribcage had a big red bruise. His coat had a .38 caliber slug trapped in the lining. They figured it was a round fired from a far way off.
Some people are in prison for the sole purpose of protecting the rest of us from them.
My wife just served as foreman of the jury that convicted a young African-American guy on drug-dealing charges. He got 30 years. Even though she knew the right verdict was returned, she said it broke her heart to see a ruined life.
Maybe he does deserve a second chance. But I don't see how he is owed one because of the Constitution.
He didn’t take a good, 30-year-deal for clear attempted murder while committing a robbery and a carjacking. Can’t feel sorry for him after that.
Shot someone in the course of committing a crime. While the victim is thankfully alive that has nothing to do with the actions of the perp.
Wow
LOL, I’ll see you in a hundred years dude.
