I worked with the Salvation Army during the flooding of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers, They were there 24/7 and appeared to be the top dawg in disaster management. I would be quite surprised if there were anything dirty in that organization. They worked harder and longer than anyone else.

Agree the staff implementing relief are amazing.

If there is an issue it it likely with the financial administrators or a financial administrator. Ground level staff usually don’t know about such things.

Awful if true.

FWIW, in OKC following the bombing, there were survivor families who had been sent money care of Red Cross, which was specifically supposed to go directly TO those families.

The RC took it.

Big flap in the papers at the time.
