Good question, I don't know. I don't think the Euro-nobility of the Crusades era facilitated the conflict, as is taking place in modern history.

External enemies consolidate local power. See Machiavelli, "fear of an external enemy promotes internal social unity," and he wasn't the first to express, understand or use that principle.

I was just keeping “future proves the past” in mind.

Seems that certain euro-weenies are fomenting misconduct in the muslim world. Is it so they can step in and “white knight” the Western World?
