OK, so tonight of all nights, I took out some of the military effects of my dad, who passed on in 2007. He never talked about his military service to us kids. He rarely mentioned it to the grandkids. I recently gained ownership of the flag in a display box, but nothing else was in the box.
My nephew, USNavy, had some of the effects that belonged to my dad including the coveted discharge papers. I had never seen them. I was studying them tonight.

No, not the highest decorated WW2 veteran, but a very good soldier, a man who served his country with faith and honor. I can only imagine the hell he went through, but I will never know for certain. For War is Hell, and he was in a War!
That said, I’m reading all the Q drops tonight, and all the events of late and I can’t help but think that this is the kind of things that we marched on Washington in 2009 for - The Tea Party movement was all about ending the deep state.
The lesson learned after we took DC, 1 million strong, only to be mostly ignored, was that not only did the democrats hate us but a good portion of the Republicans were not on the people’s side either.
Anyway, I’m rambling, but I’m starting to see real progress, progress back towards our constitutional roots. And for that, I’m thankful. Keep up the good fight.

Father was trained by the soldiers of WWI.
Grey stars agleam in a blank, dead sky
Grey guns agrowl below.
Grey clad men out beyond the wire.
Grey fields in the star-shells glow.
The barrage is a pounding symphony
That ears attuned cannot hear.
There’s something flicking the parapet
There’s something above you fear!
Not fear of “stopping one” above,
Or fear for the man beside.
There’s something flicking the parapet
There’s a fear that you cannot hide.
“Stand By!” The rifle is cool in your hand
And your heart pounds hard and quick.
There’s something flicking the parapet
Number Three of the squad is sick.
The rifle hurts the palm of your hand
Like gripping a stiff wire brush
There’s something flicking the parapet
“Walk slow through the wire, then rush!”
The whistle! The ladders! Up over the edge!
And your legs seem stiff and sore.
There’s something flicking the parapet
Number Three is sick no more!
Grey stars agleam in a blank dead sky
Grey guns agrowl below.
Grey faces turned to the glowing stars
Where men lie dead in a row.
God bless you as you and nephew and family remember your dad’s service. We are so united by the blood and sacrifice of our very best patriots. We are grateful for his service. You stated it all so well.
Thank you meyer.
I think we all need to remember why we are here doing what we are doing. It’s about past and future sacrifices, it’s about saving our country, it’s about a battle of good vs evil.
We are living what will be looked back as the historic battle for our constitution, our way of life and the future of our nation.

Amen. Praise The Lord and pass the ammo!
Your father is exactly why we all are here today, and why we are here on this board. Americans will ALWAYS fight for whats right. At least most Americans. I honestly dont know what happened to the rest of them. Theyre still drinking the kool-ade I guess.
I was there also in 2009, when we got off the Metro, I cried with tears of joy seeing all those Patriots marching down Pennsylvania Avenue.
Probably passed by you or you were near.
So very glad to meet you, Meyer.
My Dad and my Father in law were both WW2 Veterans, my hubby a Vietnam Veteran, have 2 sons that are Marines and very close family in Law Enforcement. All standing up for this great country and the rule of law.
Love that My Donald appreciates our Military and our Police.
We want the wall and legal immigration.
I know all these people in my life fought and fight for Americans, not illegals.
Build the wall and get all these illegals out of our county.
God Bless America.
MAGA!!!
