The other networks broke in as well.

However, at the time, it took about 20-30 minutes for the cameras to warm up, that’s why all you saw in the initial reports was the “CBS Bulletin” on the screen.

There are videos on YouTube with the NBC and ABC coverage, and they did the same thing.

I do realize that, dwgator. I repost your response above and invite txhurl, who raised the question, to also read it. I had not realized about the cameras having to warm up, and that other networks were slow to cover it possibly for that reason.

Cameras warming up...are they still on 60's era vacuum tube technology...

Just coordinating the talking points and video shots with their bosses at MSM.

It took NBC 17 minutes to start rolling tape. I have a recording of it and it is as creepy today as it was on that day when I was in fifth grade...
