The only type of opioid I’m willing to take is pure, tiny codeine without empirin. For my body, they work on the pain with no side effects and I always call my doctor to let them know when a dental procedure requires them so I have a cross check on what’s happening. I figure that full transparency will catch any potential problems and STILL let me deal with pain. They don’t work for my husband, so my guess is that everyone needs to transparently experiment under doctor’s observation to discover what works for their particular physiology.

I have had some persistent pain over the years and took Ibuprofen, which is very effective. However, we became concerned that taking it on a long term basis could be damaging to my liver and other organs.
We learned about CURCUMIN.
The Arthritis Foundation actually states that it is an effective option to pain management.
